Russ - the vision of Oladipo but not as passive / deferential / satisfied / paid - SF who passes, hits 3s - mobile PF who does everything - Mobile C who really protects rim, passes, hits 3s. Vet combo guard who directs / leads / scores / defends / stands up to Westbrook for everybody, Robes, mobile SF/PF who passes.Other shooters who aren't skinny or slow or one-dimensional. Cheap tough guys who aren't young.

I've said it before but One of our major problems is positional versatility. Currently Robes, Taj, and Russ are the only players that can play even 2 positions.

Oladipo is too small to guard Sf's and not good enough With the ball to play the one.

Adams lost the ability to guard anyone mobile.

Kanter can't guard anyone at all.

Semaj shouldn't be in the NBA at any position.

Abrines is too weak to guard 3's (and probably 2's as well).

Mcdermott/Singler too slow to guard wings and too small to guard bigs.

Domas too weak to guard centers.

Grant is supposed to be versatile but I've yet to see him do a good job on any wing.

It really makes lineups even harder when none of your best players can slide to another position.

If I'm going to be this unrealistic, I should have dreamed a little larger but I tried to find a balance between a really good roster and still a little bit realistic. I still think you can win with an elite big man if the surrounding cast is right.

Had Presti not traded Ilyasova for Grant they obviously would have been a much better team this year and that was just an incredibly foolish move. Ilyasova averaged 15/7 this year and Grant only 6/2. I still have no idea why he did this or why he isn't heavily criticized. Ilyasova actually could have started at small forward to get the pathetic Roberson out of there and he would have given them solid defense (he actually led the entire NBA in charges taken last year) plus 13-14 pts. per game and good 3 pt. shooting which is what they so desperately needed at that position to help replace what they lost in KD. Had they kept him and simply removed Roberson from the starting lineup and then started Kanter at the 4 instead of Sabonis they would have won 10 more games easily.

Ily isn't a trash defender. He's also not a 3, but we definitely could have used him this year. Would've had to get creative when trading cam though.
