Team should be fouling Thomas hard as hell each time he goes towards the basket. Refs are going to call touch fouls anyways, make him think twice about going in the paint. And time to just push through those moving screens. Refs also need to call how Celtics defenders are holding Beal as he tries to come off screens. Not sure how they are allowed to be physical yet the Wiz defenders are getting called for touch fouls. It's very frustrating and tainted game 2. Now the Wiz are in an 0-2 hole and we already know they don't even get calls at home.

Hmmm....in seeing this one again with the ability to replay it, Olynk looks a bit suspicious here:

I mean, he's clumsy, yes, but it certainly could be calculated.

These games have been absolutely brutal to watch if you're a Wizards fan. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory is right. Definitely not watching the next one sober.

Can't see this changing unless Brooks changes the bench rotation.

The whole idea here is that our bench unit is so abnormally below replacement level (even for a bench), that if we swapped out our bench for any randoms, the team would be better. I have never seen a team's bench have a +35 over the other. They get destroyed on offense and defense in MINUTES.

So you didn't pay attention to the Thunder in the 1st round huh :D

Russ had like a +90 On/Off NetRtG over the last four games or something like that.

Jesus, long time lurker. Reading the general board about this play is ridiculous. Olynyk clearly made an unnatural motion towards Wall to hurt him. Any one who actually has played sports would know that's malicious.
If you're falling over, you're just going to fall. Not lunge sideways into an opposing player. Saw the same thing about Delly last year when he was trying to hurt players and had people saying "he just fell".
So many have been just behind a keyboard their whole lives and don't understand how it is to play sports.

And how he gets up looking for a foul is ridiculous. Somebody needs to elbow his ass in the mouth. Let Ochefu in strictly for this purpose and pay his fines for him.

Look we need mahinmi to play, and we need to swap out Jennings and bogz for Tomas that should at least solve our bench defencive issues, because kellt and jason are at least solid bench players and decent enough defenders. Id tomas can jsut not dribble the ball to death he will be bae.

I said it was dirty the moment I saw the replay. I've calmed down a bit and now think he was reckless and flopping at the expense of John Wall's landing safely. Still bad though.

A few things. One is that I hate losing games in the playoffs like that because I'm always of the mindset that you have certain games you are supposed to win so when you lose it makes you feel like you have to really beat or outplay Boston 5 times in the series. The only way to really kinda make it up is to steal a game Boston is supposed to win later. Luckily I think we are a better team, are a great home team, and have 3 of 4 at home while Mahimi should be back.

Here is the thing. What Isiah is doing in the midst of adversity is amazing and deserves to be applauded. However, and I have to be careful how to say this because I don't want it to come off the wrong way but I think again it's tragic but it's also a fairy tale story but last night was his sister's birthday. They have had the funeral and last night was the finality.

Now I think he will come back down to earth some and the series will go back to some normality. I said before last game that we will figure them out sometime within the next 2 games and we will win 4 straight. Wall figured them out. Sadly Beal didn't but I wouldn't be shocked if he averaged close to 30 the rest of the way like he did Atlanta.

Now it's also up to Brooks. Sister elevating IT or not, our overall strategy in guarding him has been garbage. So far it looks like we are the better team but Stevens is owning him. At the end of the day, I think IT has had his moment and is getting all of the headlines on the TV shows today. For the rest of the series, I think everyone will be talking about Wall and Beal

The C's know how to foul and make it not look like a foul. They are smarter than the Wizards in that regard.

We have no bench. Period. Nada. Nothing. Zero. You cant win without a bench.

Good game Wizards. You'll get one or two, I think.

Wall is a cannon, but from a non-Wizards fan pov, I do feel for you guys. Killer starting lineup, but it is like your offense is walking a tight rope.

As far as the Celtics dirt, teams in the 80s and 90s were more physical, and that was the norm. It's just perception, physical scrappy teams in a soft league seem scrappy. In actuality, the Celtics are just playing harder and pushing the limit. It is Celtic ball, always has been. Physical, scrappy, hustle, and ball movement.

The Wizards are weak psychologically and are intimidated by the physical play of the Celtics. Thats what got Beal of his game.

As a Celtic fan, I don't feel comfortable saying we are a better team. You guys can STILL beat us jn 7 games. The issue is that the Celtics play harder, want it more, and the Wizards, at the moment, have no answer for intense, physical play.

Chin up guys. Your team and players arent as bad as you make them out to be. They are just physically and mentally pushed to their limit

It's so funny how easily we let our bigs switch onto IT, even deep into the 4th quarter/overtime. I swear 10 years ago this wasn't happening in the NBA.

Well I guess there's a reason why the Thunder (and soon the Wizards) are going to be watching the playoffs from their sofas. I'm 90% sure Brooklyn's bench would make us a better team.
