Miss of the season from Ayew.

Honestly it's better if Liverpool qualify for the CL. Arsenal will just be the usual last 16 exit against Bayern. With Liverpool and Klopp you never know.

unless they put a lot of money on transfers they wont get past 1/8 or 1/4 either ( saving some "lucky" draws)

2-0, lovely goal by Coutinho.

I hear Barca are pretty interested in him. Think he stays at Liverpool?

Gotta love West Ham. Win their cup final against Spurs then immediately return to being tinpot.

You might be right.

But I remember Liverpool putting out a statement about Suarez not being sold not long before they sold him to Barca. His antics in the world cup probably contributed to that though, to be fair to the scousers.

Suarez got a new deal with a release clause after Arsenal came after him. Barcelona met his release clause and that was that. Coutinho doesn't have a release clause. He still might get sold but it would have to be goofy money.

Ah yeah, the £40,000,001 fiasco.

Even if Coutinho is sold, with CL football looking likely I think Liverpool can kick on. He's a wonderful player, but I don't think you'll have any trouble attracting potential replacements. Klopp has been fairly savvy in the market so far.

That was a good final game at the Lane. Great atmosphere, open game of football, picked up all 3 points against a good team to finish unbeaten there, to cement 2nd and 80+ points.

Could've been better, but not bad at all.

This is a interesting thread on why British managers dont get the big jobs.

Think the biggest reason why British managers dont go abroad is a cultural thing and the fact that Brits in general struggle with learning foreign languages and that was of the biggest reasons why Moyes and Neville struggled in Spain. Even a guy like Bale has been in Spain four seasons but still can't even speak basic Spanish. Only "Vamos" and so on.

It's the inbred superiority complex. Rightfully so. :D
