If this game were at Miller Park, how many home runs would Chase have given up? 5?

Letting the opposing pitcher look like in his prime Pujols at the plate.

Yeah something like that. Need to cash in on these turds before people realize their turds again.

Barnes is having a very difficult time locating his split finger. He's a two pitch guy. Like Davies struggling with his change-up, he is going through a rough spell largely due to hitters simply sitting on his fastball. Now, go the other end of the spectrum: Knebel is locating his curve with 1-0 counts routinely. He'll throw it at any time, keeping hitters off-balance, and then he'll blow by you with some subtle movement on his 97-98 mph fastball. It's really a fine line.

Aguilar with his 2nd triple in two games. Hilarious. A gifted triple to a large degree but a triple in the books no less.

Well, I think we answered the question of whether or not Drake can handle a save situation. Ugly ugly stuff. If you didn't see it, he had two absolutely horrendous pitches in the dirt. The last leading to a swipe of 2nd base followed by a next pitch HR given up to Renfroe - the 8th spot. Yikes.

I could feel that one coming. Our pitchers were just getting by ... and it caught up to them

IF there were ever a spot to give Neftali a boost of confidence, that was it. Instead, we used Drake in a role he has never fulfilled. IMHO, a bad decision by Counsell. He looked completely ill-equipped for that scenario.

And, jeez, what's up w/ Schroeder just drooling over Drake?!? He's getting hit to the tune of .290 ? That's no bueno. He has very average K/BB ratio. He's just a middle-of-the-road guy who gets by with quirky mechanics.

Drake looked awful but this is what the talent is. Outside of Corey and sometimes Barnes this pen is ****. Which is fine considering the returns. Anyone hoping this is a playoff team is gonna be sorely butt hurt.

We've traded away every arm that wasn't broken the last two years. Obviously, no one thought it would matter.

That's why I said if we could somehow stay in contention, finding middle relievers would be the way to go. A lot cheaper, less risky and still efforting if the bats can stay hot.
