Like I said, we'd know right away. Somehow that sucks now.

This sh*t is so rigged. Don't care what the motives are. Nothing about this feels spontaneous.

Did not know Clyde was a 14th pick.
Cool story-in the 1984 draft, Portland supposedly offered Drexler and the number two pick for either Ralph Sampson or the number 1 pick (Hakeem Olajuwon). If Houston had parted with Ralph, they could have had Hakeem, MJ, and Drexler on the same team.

Find a way to trade our 1st for 2 2nd round picks. I would rather have 2 role players than just 1.

Of course it's rigged, otherwise they wouldn't do it behind closed doors.
The odds of the Cavs getting 3 #1 picks in four years are astronomical. Like the same person getting struck by lightning ten times in one day.

It was like a 1% chance...not quite astronomical, but pretty lucky nonetheless

It was less than that, the Irving pick was actually the Clippers pick that was part of the Baron Davis trade. That one had a 2.8% chance of getting top by itself, I doubt that the total was 1%, more like 0.1%.
But yeah, this was an uninspired result. Heat had a great "reward the anti-tanker" story, and the Lakers & Celtics getting screwed by the lotto would also show it's not rigged (because them getting 1, 2 is just handing it to the storied franchises).
Phuck the Nets though, why not buy in better player in years where they won't get **** from their picks - go into cap hell to get assets, or throw really unmatchable contracts at RFAs.

We should be so lucky. A player like Drexler or Hardaway would be great.

Oh I don't like our chances at all. I just let myself dream a little. Those guys aren't common with any pick, let alone #14.
We'll be lucky if we draft someone that ends up having trade value down the road.

Re: Lottery predictions!
Let me put it this way, there's almost always a good NBA player (or more) on the board at #14 ... you just have to make sure that you take him and not one of the much more numerous bums.
