Also, if he's going to come off the bench then it helps that it's for his mentor in I.T.

I don't follow college bball, but I think the fact that his dad isn't LaVar Ball already endears him to me.

How hilarious would it be if Lakers drafted Lonzo and traded him off to Indy for PG13. LaVar would flip

My guess too. I also don't want the 76ers to get too much elite young talent. Anyone can criticize "the process" all they want but:

Embiid
Simmons
Saric
Covington
Holmes
Okafor

that's nothing to sneeze at. If Monk really impresses, I think he's a slam dunk pick for that team if they want Simmons truly running PG.

Simmons
Monk
Covington
Saric / Holmes
Embiid / Okafor

They should take Jackson.

Simmons/McConnell
Bayless/Korkmaz/Stauskas
Jackson/Luwawu/Anderson
Saric/Holmes
Embiid/Okafor

They have an unprotected Lakers 1st and their own next year, plus an unprotected Kings 1st and their own in 2019.

That's pretty nice.

Agree on Jackson.

I think they should put Simmons at the 4 and use Saric as a 6th man. Then slide Simmons to the 5 when Embiid goes to the bench (they should never play Okafor - what a complete bum).

A Jackson/Simmons/Embiid/Saric frontcourt rotation is amazing.

LaVar Bell is at it again. Seems to be a little worried the celtics may take Lonzo. I mean I know what he is doing but this is also the same guy that said his son better than Steph Curry.

The outspoken Ball father even encouraged the Boston Celtics, who won the draft lottery held Tuesday night, to use the No. 1 pick on Markelle Fultz, who he the dubbed, "the best player."

"Discourage them? Yes. I hope the Celtics don't take Lonzo. Markelle Fultz is the perfect pick for them. He's the best player. Take him," LaVar said Wednesday morning on "Undisputed.""I hope the Celtics don't take Lonzo. Markelle Fultz is the perfect pick for them. He's the best player. Take him." — @Lavarbigballer pic.twitter.com/KHCspnD6wq

Markelle just retweeted this. Looks like he's dead set on joining the C's.

Marcellus Fultz would be a nice fit.

On offence? No problem.

Both guys can play off-ball and compliment each other's skillsets.

Perimeter defence would be ugly though, at least in year 1.

They are gunna have one of the worst defenses ever next year. Very entertaining team to watch, though, they're gunna put up points in bunches.

Ball and Randle are perfect fits in Waltons offense. They'll be very entertaining, for sure.

Not according to Woj whose podcast I'm listening to now. I'll be very interested to see the package that the Lakers will garner for Russell, I can see flashes, but for the most part he seems lackadaisical. It could be a being a product of his environment, but he seems overrated.

The more I look at the stats and Lonzo, the better he looks to me.

The Ringer has a great break down with shot charts.
He's good from all over the floor.

tough decision if you ask me.

You guys considering at all if the 76ers offered number 3 and another first rounder next year for your number 1?

You guys get a SF in Jackson which is a lot better than having a crowded PG depth chart.
Also 76ers get their PG /scoring guard, freeing up Simmons to run point and fultz to be off the ball.
Seems like it would work, Fultz is not so standout #1 in my eyes as well either though. Him and Jackson are still my 2 fave prospects .

Yeah, it's gonna be especially fun to watch considering they have no incentive to tank next year. They'll probably still suck, but they won't be trying to suck.

Not gonna lie, just finished it. Was going to do a recap but got lazy.

Two things: one, without seeing him I've gotten the impression Ball is as much SG as PG, that chart above is more evidence of that. Why do they think they can just take him and apply the position they want on him and make that his usage? Interesting info, wrong questions asked IMO.

Two, shaping up to be a lot of need for players like Rozier and Bradley coming up. LA, Milwaukee, Philly all running guys at PG that could use a player that can play SG on offense and PG on defense. Redick may leave LAC, they will need a cheaper 3 and D guy there too.

Nope. Wing players are a dime a dozen and we have two of them on this team already (Crowder and Brown).

If Fultz isn't a stand out then why do you want to trade up for him? The Celtics hang up the phone on that offer and laugh.

Not terrible but Jackson and Jaylen Brown are too similar IMO
