Nets. They don't need Clarkson and already have two picks in the 20's. Mozgov and a future pick or Randle makes sense.

28+Clarkson+Deng for Melo+58
?

And this one too.

Russell , Ingram, Tatum, Melo and Zu! who cares about defense?!

28 for Mario hezonja

He can play sg/sf and back up both spots
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

You do this to get rid of Deng but the reality is that Carmelo will stunt the growth of our young guys and I doubt he waives his no trade clause.

I rather get rid of Deng than Magic get antsy an trade the kids for someone stupid. Here we lose to long term contracts which is fine with me

Oh forgot the other part of that. It completely kills any plans until 2019. And I don't see Melo waiving his no trade clause to play on a lotter team

with the George deal.

Would this be a bit too cheeky to offer to them

Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and 28 for Paul George

Would that make them send him to Boston

This is more of a deadline deal, or a desperation deal for Indiana (and quiet frankly brooklyn also) that you'd wonder if both are better off just letting the talent walk BUT, for some reason i could see happening.

To Lakers:
Paul George

To Nets:
Al Jefferson
Monta Ellis
47th Pick

To Pacers:
Timofey Mozgov
Luol Deng
Julius Randle
Jordan Clarkson
28th Pick

Call me crazy but Mozgov fits McMillans system, as does Deng for that matter. Mozgov and Turner probably works on some weird level, and you have options of Mozgov and Deng in the frontcourt or even Mozgov and Randle works for that system (which is straight from around 08ish). Also if they bring back Teague, they could be an alright team still (kind of). Also i think Indiana would be ok for a cap dump since they would be in rebuilding mode (sort of).

Pacers Lineup:
Teague-Clarkson-Deng-Randle-Turner/Mozgov

Nets Lineup:
Lin-Lavert-RHJ-Jefferson-Lopez

Lakers Lineup:
Ball-Ingram-George-Nance-Zubac

either that or this gets us blacklisted by the pacers.

what does a package of Randle and Clarkson get.

Most posters here don't really rate either? I wonder what GM's would value it as? I mean if anything an upgrade at P.F would be nice if we don't need to pair either, or both of these two to ditch those contracts.

I would happily trade for an unprotected Lakers pick next year.

And I actually hope we DO suck next year. Our problem this year was not sucking enough!

And I'm not high on Okafor. Again. That's not the key piece in the trade. It was a little low risk high reward bonus thrown in....

Then offer a trade to the Philly. Something like maybe Harrison Barnes for Okafor + the Lakers 2018 pick.

I'd take that in a second.

I really don't see why you are so worked up by this...

I'm just replying to you. :D

I follow Lakers news around here a lot because my friends are computer illiterate Lakers fans.

I agree with the poster that said the General Board may be a little too harsh about Laker trade proposals, but I also think a lot of Lakers fans overvalue some of the "untouchable' guys.

I think if I am a team looking to take on one of the Mozgov or Deng contracts I want asset potential and a mixture of contract or cost control.

Clarkson seems reasonably paid to just slightly overpaid. I like Randle, but I would want other potential assets with him since I would only have 1 year to see how he fits with my team before I have to pay him. I think Clarkson and Randle could have some value, but not together, especially in a trade with Deng-Mozgov since after the next season Clarkson-Randle-Mozgov would take up $43-48 million of a teams cap.

If I'm the Nets, the #28 pick does nothing for me with having two other picks in the 20's. Now that the '19 pick is back in the Lakers ownership it can put '20 or '21 in play.

If I were the Nets I would ask for limited protection on the '20 1st Round pick or unprotected in '21, and Zubac at the start of any framework of a deal that has me taking on Mozgov or Deng. Maybe adding Zubac gets the phone hung up on me by a lot of RealGMers, but I think Deng and Mozgov have very little value to teams, even with cap space.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
