I get that the guy isn't a world class athlete, but he's a proven winner with few real weaknesses in his game. He literally does everything well. I'd seriously consider him at 23 as Powell is likely to see some big offers after next season, and given our cap situation, and what is starting to seem like a foregone conclusion that Masai brings Lowry/Ibaka/Tucker back, it would be nice to have an insurance policy working with 905s next season.

He is this years Malcom brogadon no doubt. His advanced stats are unreal. Watson gonna love him

Watson got boxed up and is headed to Orlando.

Plenty of other freshman don't have this problem. Bam has been playing basketball since high school he's not new to the game. I'm not saying he can't learn or anything. Just that Jakob is already much further ahead here almost as atheltic with quicker feet. Jakob is the better prospect.

Jacob is not better prospect and I'm willing to bet on Bam having higher ceiling as prospect in NBA. Bam was better high school player and as fresh man playing in tougher division has shown more then Jacob has shown as freshman ..

The difference is Jakob blew up his second year and won PAC 12 POY. We have seen Jakob in the Association but not Bam. I love Bam as a prospect but no way in a million is he a better prospect than Jakob. That's crazy talk. You do not draft Bam to creep Jakob unless JV and Bebe are headed out and Ibaka is a slam dunk.

If player of year mean anything then Adam Morrison should have been great NBA prospect and player.

Crazy talk? Crazy talk is not picking player because if Jacob or JV or babe ...

I think we pick Bam on merit not because we have proved hypothetically he is better than any our current players.

Has he worked out for the Raptors yet? I'd wager if he doesn't work out for Masai then he's likely not the pick.

I don't think a single center has worked out for us yet

Just saying I like him but have to agree there isn't a snowballs chance in hell we draft him or any pure centre although Hartenstein worked out and he is a 7 foot hybrid 4-5.

What's our history for drafting guys we've worked out?
Have we ever taken someone we didn't see?

Under Masai I don't think so. IMO the only way it will happen if some lottery talent falls.

Hopefully he impresses and he stays in the draft

Same, I think he'd be a great pick for us.

When did Hartenstein work out for us? I never seen his name at any of our workouts so far. I'm sure the pick will be a forward though. Someone who can shoot and play small ball 4. Semi I'm looking at you boi

I might be confused with them checking him out at the combine. His Dad was a pro.

What's the catch with Semi Ojeyle? Draftexpress has him at 38 but he looks better than most of the scrubs listed below him. Am I missing something?

Looks the part as an athlete but what is his ceiling back-up 4 rebounder? He looks to me like a James Anderson level talent.

He is a 4 in a PJ Tucker size frame. He does tick some boxes but fluid movement as a wing isn't one of them. He's completely jacked which some here fall for. Back-up energy player?

"at 6' 7”, and he doesn't make up for (short stature) with a freakish reach (6' 10” wingspan) although his jacked 235-pound frame definitely helps. He's somewhat caught between positions on the defensive end as he's not quite big enough to check traditional fours, and while demonstrating solid lateral quickness when fully engaged, doesn't have a ton of experience chasing around NBA-level wings. His instincts on that end have room to improve as well, evident by his very low block and steal rates (partially a product of SMU playing a fair amount of zone). Ojeleye can also add more value on the defensive glass – 5.5 per 40 minutes –, another area where he'll need to bump up his production to play long stretches at the four in the NBA. (Dexp)"
