Jay, did you have a lot to drink last night my friend?

NashtyNas wrote:Also if you like Collins or Morris better than Portis, you can swap either of those. Just thought you'd prefer Portis.

Yea, I'm fine with letting Marcus go to IND instead of Portis.

CHI, what's the salary looking like for Caanan? Can he be included as a throw-in if you don't mind?
Assuming salaries work I think I'm going to take the deal as constructed but would appreciate if you could include Caanan since he's deadweight on your bench anyhow and I could use him in a 2-guard lineup for the shooting.

Do you prefer this deal to the one the Jazz are offering?

Yeah I'd throw Canaan in. He's making $1.5MM next year, with 200k guaranteed until 06/30 (ie right now in this game's time frame).
Are you indifferent regarding getting Henson or me getting him?

Cole Aldrich is your man. His last year is partially guaranteed so he's essentially an expiring contract.

We can send you one of Josh McRoberts or Trevor Booker if you'd like. Otherwise, we have Kosta Koufos, but we would like something in return for him.

I might be interested in Cole or Koufos... I want to see what is sitting on the FA pile for a MLE, but once I have a feel for that I'll touch base with you both. what would you want for either of these guys?

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards the CHI deal because it's allowing me to address multiple needs despite getting a much older centerpiece player unlike the Jazz deal.

I can't take on Henson because of salaries and I really need Delly much more so if that's a dealbreaker then we're in deadwater though you seemed okay with the deal as it is anyway.

No judging here, just had a good laugh about it.

Looks like we've reached a conclusion so if everyone's in agreement we can all shoot a PM to SportsCrazy... or did you guys want to wait till FA? I'm fine either way.

To WAS:
Wade, Delly, Portis, Collins, Caanan, 2018 swap, 2019 unprotected

To IND:
Mahinmi, Marcus Morris

To CHI:
Beal, Henson

Would including the rights to Hamidou Diallo or one of my second round picks this year change this calculation? Or the worse of the 2018 first round picks?

This would mean

UTA gets Bradley Beal
WAS gets Rodney Hood, Derrick Favors, Hamidou Diallo(or worse of UTA/OKC 2018 first round pick), better of UTA/OKC 2018 first round pick

?

I'm sorry bud, but the other deal just offered me too much of what I wanted to say no to it.
Being able to dump Mahinmi and add Delly on top of getting a replacement for Beal along with multiple picks was too much to pass up on.

I'm still interested in Hood if you're looking to move him for a future pick, though.

wackbone wrote:No, we are not rebuilding. We are retooling

Ok, does that mean none of the players I mentioned are available?
If you'd like to discuss a trade for any of the 3, I'm open to discuss... my updated roster and assets are available in the roster page.

Cool, would love to see what you've worked out. My updated roster is on the Roster Page in case you need a refresher because I just made a move though it doesn't involve any of the pieces we discussed.

With trying to keep things relatively realistic, we are going to hold on to all of those guys.

Nick Young IS available but idk what to ask for that the Wiz are comfortable to give up. We also have several other people available outside the big 3.

The same players are in play. With the deal proposal netting you Griffin, is Markieff Morris available to acquire for the Clippers? If so, here's my proposal.

BG(S&T)
2021 1st round pick (Unprotected)

TO Wizards

for O.Porter(S&T), M.Morris, and J.Smith

Out of curiosity: has a double sign and trade ever actually occurred?
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I don't think so, but me and SD are both trend setters.

It almost happened twice, though.
The Cavs and Heat discussed a double S&T between LeBron and Deng when LeBron announced he was returning to the Cavs. It would have allowed the Heat to sign a FA before matching all their RFA's and then still acquire a replacement for LeBron.

It was also almost completed between the Mavs and Cavs in 2010 - the Mavericks wanted Shaq for Brendan Haywood but the teams couldn't come to terms.

As far as the deal, yeah, that's something I'd definitely be interested in though I'd send you Portis as your replacement PF instead of Morris because Morris is really important to the Wizards success and we're hoping to have him be a super-sub behind Griffin & Gortat.
