It's not a full ACL/MCL tear and he's said to be out for "only" 6 - 12 weeks.

Though, he'll miss another month or two five games into his comeback.
They guy seems to be someone who's body just isn't really made for professional football.

Yeah just read they'd overstated things in the initial reports. Still rough man. Talented guy, body just isn't cut out for it.

Wolfsburg celebrate staying in the league by doing what they do best: wasting money. 17 million for Brooks, that's an amazing deal for us if the reports are true. You should be able to find 3 players of Brooks' caliber for that much money. Thank you, VW.

I'd like to say I'm excited to see what Preetz does with it, but I'm honestly just scared. Please don't screw this up.

Would be interesting to see how Tuchel would do with Leverkusen next season. No Europe. Only domestic matches.
Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Toni Kroos, Pep Guardiola, Ernst Happel, Joachim Löw.

I mean, I don't even disagree. It would be nice to have them in the BL. But at some point you have to be punished for making bad choices for 10+ years without learning anything.

I'm sure you can see why a HSV fan might disagree with you on this...

Sounds like a good deal for you guys.

4 - 5 mil of those will go to Gladbach for Andre Hahn, if reports are true.

Hahns best days seem gone. Wouldnt spend that kinda money on him.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Hahn. The Brooks deal makes me feel a lot better, though.

It actually depends with Hahn.
I haven't watched too many games of Hertha, but they still seemed to be a team that likes to be organized and rather go for counter attacks.
If that's the case, then Hahn could make some sense because he needs some space for his game.

With us he didn't have that too often anymore and because of this his technical shortcomings were really obvious.

Davie Selke, huh? What do you guys think about that?

I like the idea, but it sounds like he'll be really expensive and IMO he has yet to prove he can be worth it. Will also be interesting what happens with Ibisevic, Kalou and Schieber since Dardai usually likes to play with one striker. I guess it means more Kalou on the left wing, which would make this deal much worse already. Ibisevic won't be happy, either.

Well there is more upside than a guy like Hahn has.

Yeah, that's for sure. He seems like a good fit not only as the type of player he is, but also as a new part of our group of young German players. Selke, Weiser (hope he stays), Stark, Torunarigha, Mittelstädt and so on. I like our direction, just hoping Selke is worth that much money.

I'm not a huge Selke fan, but I think that he should go back to Werder to maximize his potential.

Selkes best case scenario is probably Mario Mandzukic. He should look to add sone weight. His body has developed even further into Peter Crouch thanks to Rangnicks approach.

Well, you're going to pay about three times then what Hahn would've cost you. :P

Selke certainly has talent, but seems to be a bit stiff, IMO:
Though, he's certainly not as limited as Hahn in that regard.

Learning from Kruse and co in werder's free flowing approach is really the only way I see Selke becoming that more skilled Gomez he once touted to become

It seems like Hertha's still interested in Hahn, given that they want another winger.
And those "newspapers" are also now reporting about a transfer fee of €7M. :o

I guess we'll just wait till next week and sell him for €15M to Hertha...
