Clowney is showing why he was picked ahead of Mack today. Dude's a monster.
That D is gonna be downright scary when Watt comes back.

I absolutely despise when playcalling doesn't allow your QB to do anything but screens and quick hitches. Neither were Cook's strength in college. He's not the type to dictate to the defense.

I love the fact that he's being a pro by putting in the work. The kid wants to be great, and he's not trying to wait until year 4/5 in his career to seek help like Kaep had done:
Carson Wentz - QB - Eagles
Carson Wentz will train with quarterback guru Adam Dedeaux this offseason.
Dedeaux is a former minor league pitcher who recently took over Tom House's company. House worked with some of the game's top quarterbacks including Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer and Matt Ryan. Wentz's mechanics deteriorated over the course of his rookie season, resulting in an uptick in turnovers. Wentz threw 14 interceptions over the final 13 weeks.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? you saying hitting the gym like a LB is no way to go about it in the offseason for a QB?

Josh Doctson - WR - Redskins
Josh Doctson (Achilles') still has yet to be cleared to run without restrictions.
When asked if Doctson has made significant progress in his recovery, coach Jay Gruden replied, "Not really." Last year's first-rounder, Doctson has been running in a pool, but Gruden hopes February brings more results in his rehab. With Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson set to be free agents and unlikely to both be back, Doctson is an important piece of the puzzle.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL ROOKIES
Derrick Brooks, Patrick Willis, A.J. Hawk, Derrick Johnson, Lavar Arrington, and Jaylon Smith have been my favorite MLB prospects of all time. I know Derrick wasn't a MLB, but there's no denying that he could have played that position at a high level if he was asked to.
Jaylon Smith - LB - Cowboys
Cowboys MLB Jaylon Smith (knee) continues to wear a brace to help lift his foot, but is "running and cutting without issues."
ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer says Smith can play with the brace, which is designed to help Smith deal with his "drop-foot" condition. Whether it would limit his effectiveness is the next obvious question. The Cowboys have expressed utmost optimism that Smith will be a 2017 contributor, but in what capacity is unknown. We're not betting on Smith emerging as a starter anytime soon.

He was up there, I was enamored with his physical prowess: ability to play both safety positions in college, and all three LB positions. However, I didn't see much of his games in college if at all. I liked him solely based on what I read about him and what I saw in his highlight videos. He had exceptional height for the position, he returned kickoffs which demonstrated that he had tremendous speed for the position, etc. I remember back then a lot of us liked him as a prospect, but I didn't put him in the same category as the other LBs because if I saw a full game of his, it couldn't have been no more than 1 game? Similar to Corey Davis at Western Michigan--I only saw 2 games of his this year... but I came away very impressed with his game.

Laremy Tunsil - T - Dolphins
The Dolphins believe they have a "future Hall of Fame" left tackle in 2016 first-rounder Laremy Tunsil.
Tunsil made 13 rookie-year starts at left guard and two at left tackle when starter Branden Albert was hurt. Tunsil gave up just one sack in his first season and received positive marks from Pro Football Focus for his pass protection. Albert is set to count $10.6 million against the cap in 2017, but Miami has shown no indication it will release him. Tunsil is still just 22 (turns 23 in August) and will likely be manning Ryan Tannehill's blind side no later than 2018.

Jack Allen - C - Spartans
Of the 2016 NFL Combine participants, 35 percent were not drafted, according to Dane Brugler of CBS Sports.
15 percent of the players drafted last spring did not attend the NFL Combine. This is always valuable information to keep in mind as we approach the NFL Combine. Rich Hribar has produced great work on the impact on non-invited wide receivers and their limited success in the NFL.

Laquon Treadwell - WR - Vikings
Vikings GM Rick Spielman praised 2016 first-rounder Laquon Treadwell's work ethic.
"He is maybe the hardest-working kid I’ve ever seen. He is so determined to be a good player, and he has the skill set to do it," Spielman said. "He is going to be a good player with us. I do believe that in my heart." OC Pat Shurmur called this offseason "very critical" for Treadwell after essentially a lost rookie season, but it sounds like the front office believes he is up to the task. With Cordarrelle Patterson an unrestricted free agent and Charles Johnson (RFA) not bringing much to the offense, Treadwell should be given every opportunity to carve out a big role.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL ROOKIES
I can't believe many teams, especially the NY Giants, passed up on him last year. The smoking the weed pic was bad, but still as a prospect coming out of college the guy was on the same level as Joe Thomas.
Laremy Tunsil - T - Dolphins
Coach Adam Gase believes sophomore Laremy Tunsil is "an elite left tackle."
"We felt like we have a special player there," Gase said. "When we watch him practice at left tackle, it looks different. His confidence when he goes to left tackle, it changes. You can tell he knows that’s where he belongs. It was time for us to get Laremy out to that left tackle spot." Trading LT Branden Albert to the Jaguars opened up the job for Tunsil. Though the Dolphins still have question marks at guard, Tunsil and C Mike Pouncey are cornerstones up front.

Random lament over Maliek Collins. I think he at NT & a good-to-great LEO would make the Niners' DL one for the ages.
Friggn' Cowboys.

Chris Godwin - WR - Buccaneers
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the Bucs' pass catcher who has "consistently made the most plays" in OTAs "may be" third-round WR Chris Godwin.
"The most consistent guy(s) since we've been out here have been Godwin and Adam (Humphries)," coach Dirk Koetter said Thursday. "Those two guys have been making plays every day. I'm real happy with what Chris is doing. He can play (inside) or out, either one." Godwin was a pure perimeter receiver at Penn State, so it's interesting that Koetter mentioned him as a candidate for slot snaps inside. "Man, Chris Godwin is amazing," Jameis Winston added. "He's an amazing young talent."

Haason Reddick - LB - Cardinals
Cardinals first-round ILB Haason Reddick is getting extra reps during OTAs with Deone Bucannon (ankle surgery) sidelined.
Coach Bruce Arians added the rookie looks "damn good," and Reddick thinks the extra work is allowing him to progress "so much faster." It likely will not be at Bucannon's expense, but Reddick should play a big role as a rookie.

Re: 2016-2017 NFL ROOKIES
According to Connor Hughes of NJ.com, in three OTA sessions open to the media, Hackenberg hit media members twice. And that’s not even the half of it.
“When Hackenberg misses… he really misses. He threw just two interceptions in team drills, but nearly tossed six others. And I’m not talking about a receiver falling down. I’m saying the defender just dropped the ball.
“Other times, the wideout/running back/tight end was wide open, and Hackenberg sailed it over his head or bounced it to him. That can’t happen. In the three media-open OTAs, Hackenberg hit reporters with passes twice. “

Where's Dodub so I can tell him I could do a better job at scouting than the scout for the Jets that blessed Hackenberg with a 2ND ROUND GRADE!?
