Re: OT: What Are You Listening to Now?
was reminiscing about one of my favourite concerts watching AC DC back in 96. Remembering they were in their 40's and thinking they wouldn't be touring that much longer. Angus's solo was insane, went for about 20-30 minutes and was highlighted by him disappearing before coming up through the floor on a platform surrounded by huge flames. It was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen.
The fact that he is still doing it 20 years later is just insane to me.

Lets pour one out for another music legend who has died.
Col Bruce Hampton died on stage in Atlanta two days ago during a massive concert in his honor. He was 70. The people who were on stage at the time was basically like a 90s jam band all-star team.
(this is not that video, but a fitting song called "Fixin' to Die")
Check out this one.. Jimmy Herring going nuts

Random note - music contests at pubs are the best. I frequent two separate ones at Riga. Though I also go to a sports pub quiz and just one regular pub quiz, they don't compare to the thrills of music ones. Love them.

My terrible junior high garage band used to play White Room. I went thru a Clapton/Cream/Hendrix phase in 8th grade. That was all I listened to for about a year. And I can't stress the word "terrible" enough from that 1st sentence. We also did Purple Haze, Hey Joe, Badge & Voodoo Chile.

Nirvana, red hot chilli peppers, and tool have in CD player in my car for about 2 weeks now. I think music died around y2k or earlier. I did listen to some dmx at a friend's house too.

was drunk at home last night when Roger Water: the Wall came on TV. I couldn't turn it off.
In Highschool I never liked Pink Floyd, I was a metal head and if it wasn't metal it wasn't worth listening too when I was a teen.
But I always respected them, as something about their music is so cinematic and heavy. Other music seemed to feel like a sitcom compared to the cinematic drama of Pink Floyd.

The Grateful Dead documentary, Long Strange Trip, produced by Martin Scorsese, dropped today on Amazon Prime. 6 episodes, each about 45 minutes. I'm thru the 2nd episode so far, will pick up tomorrow. So far so good.

this song is very very dope...I miss killer Mike on trap beats, nothing against RTJ
the voice in the background is Hatsune Miku is a humanoid persona voiced by a singing synthesizer application developed by Crypton Future Media

Re: OT: What Are You Listening to Now?
thank god there's always amazing music to randomly find out about (or, perhaps, there isn't enough of it!? hope not). learned about this song in a book I just read.
flummoxed right now about her talent. how the hell do you pull off that chorus!? hope I don't over-play this track until it gets old. the fact that I've read Wuthering Heights and enjoyed it makes it even better for me.

this song always gets a random play in my household, its just a little different. Friends and I used to listen to it ironically at first but it really gets stuck in your head.
