Hmmmm dinner with personnel. I seem to remember 2 prospects last year dining with McD.

Yeah, that puts him as our first choice IMO.

Last week a contingent of Sarver, two scouts, McD and Watson were in Las Vegas on a private workout and today this workout in Phoenix.

Obviously we are REALLY interested and we have not seen any "official" info about it.

Wow! Excellent post!!!

If Isaac gets taken by the Suns, it'll shake up the Draft for sure.

Suns taking Isaac or Monk would shake up the draft a little.

It should improve the odds DSJ might fall to the Knicks.

A lot of people think it will be Isaac.

From much of our perspective, if they want to keep Bledose and are not enamored with Fox (I'm not), then a frontcourt rotation of Bender/Isaac/Chriss who can all switch onto 3s -5s defensively, hit 3s, and block shots, would potentially be a great future rotation if they all pan out.

Then we have a traditional 3 in Warren and we can have a traditional 5. Between those 5 players, they could avg 32 mpg each...probably the traditional C gets less (20-25) and some others get a little more than 32, and we play small (though not that small with Bender and Isaac's length), and more position less much of the rest of the time. We still could potentially trade Bledsoe...perhaps even for another lotto pick if a PG we like is there between 9-13.

I'd be a little surprised and very disappointed if we take Monk.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm leaning towards Tatum likely falling in that scenario of the Isaac going 4th. I can't see so many teams passing on Fox. But, if it happens:

So much is really in play right now. Not sure I buy BOS trading the pick (and if the do it's still likely Fultz) or LAL passing on Ball. But after that, who knows. Monk makes the most sense for PHI but maybe too high. PHX would probably love Jackson if he's there, but based on the above, they may go Isaac. SAC supposedly loves Fox, who may be there especially if Suns go Isaac. Do you buy that ORL is locked in on Smith? Where does MIN go if no Isaac? Lauri? Does the smoke about Frank and NY cause Dal to leap frog us and swap with MIN?

What's the over/under on the number of posters who like Frank but will now feel obligated to hate him after he praised Phil?

This is going to flip at least 15 posters away from Frank. Minimum.

You may be using a very loose definition of "Knick fan".

That may be so. I can only go by what they call themselves. How they "identify", if you will, for these modern times. :D

Let me get the ball rolling with what will be the stock arguments. Maybe some of these can make the tabloids soon.

"Phil took Frank N. because he's 18 and needs time to develop so it buys time for his flawed and failed plan"

"Frank N isn't as creative as I would like but Phil doesn't care because all he cares about are PG's that dump the ball off and clear out"

"We could have had more dynamic player "X" but Phil's ego had him reach for the guy who fits his stupid 'system'"

"Phil took the 18 year old because he can most manipulate and play mind games with the younger player"

"Phil is biased against American players" (add the phrase "like all Liberals" for some fun left wing/right wing shenanigans)

"Phil hates PG's that create so now we are stuck with this project"

"Phil picks a guy who sort of sucks but he's good at D so that is ruining the tank"

Ok. That should do for now. :D

Doubt SAC takes Monk over Fox when they have Hield. Swap MIN and ORL.

We're talking Vivek logic here, he's obsessed with 3pt shooting (no Fox in that case) and the Warriors
Monk = Curry
Hield = Klay

Hell, maybe he takes Isaac if he's there to be his Durant
Let's just say once he gets Monk alone in a gym, and he starts working out, his shot isn't gonna be the only thing that's wet

What are those first exercises?

Core strength?

It is to strengthen the entire posterior chain

I notice the root of posterior is "post"

Will this exercise help him post up? That's all I care about. Tired of seeing him muscled by 2nd string point guards.

Don't agree with the Fox hype much at all. He's not clearly an NBA star with his skill set, no way. Yeah his intangibles and some of his abilities do seem to translate, but that's not a clear PG athlete/talent or someone who has NBA offensive gifts. I don't even see some amazing passer. He seems like a good kid with heart and smarts. His NBA talent is not jumping out at you. Mudiay had more gifts.

You can Ntilikina did his research cause his comments were exactly what Phil was looking for. Kid didn't even mention Melo like the other prospects.

All I know is that it better be Gaines who is high on Frank N and not Phil, because Phil took a giant swing and miss on Grant. I trust not his ability to scout guards.

I think it's time to be honest with ourselves. Just like I said Phil will take Frank. He will not take DSJ. He specifically said in the press conference he doesn't care about athleticism, doesn't care if The guy could "jump out the gym" he looking for team oriented guys who cut, run, pass and most importantly defend. That's not DSJ at all.
