I would suggest you take DSJ, Monk or Issac (one of DSJ or Monk should still be there for you guys). Last year, it was pretty easy because we were just going to take Simmons or Ingram...This year, it's definitely not as clear cut, and I'm a little bit lower on Lonzo than most people.

Thanks LA.

This is a fortunate position, perhaps slightly better than Orlando. There are a number of real nice players to choose from in their spot and more options to swing and miss.

As far as Ball, why is he not your favorite?

Rumors about whether or not Kansas forward Josh Jackson has a promise from the Los Angeles Lakers to select him with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft ran rampant Monday.

First there was a report he "likely" had a promise from Los Angeles, and then a direct refutation of that report.

Clarity on the existence of Jackson's alleged promise doesn't seem likely to come any time soon, but it is worth noting that Jackson reportedly cancelled his workout with the Boston Celtics that was set for Monday, according to Jeff Goodman and Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

While this doesn't necessarily mean that Jackson has a promise from the Lakers, it doesn't exactly quell speculation on that front either. If the Lakers do draft him, he’ll be their second lottery pick out of their last four to cancel a workout in Boston, following in Julius Randle’s footsteps.

It's possible Jackson had a scheduling conflict, or that he had a promise from another team, or even that he just assumed the Celtics will do as expected and draft Markelle Fultz, but there seems to be enough smoke here that it can be safely assumed that something is going on.

Here is an updating list of every player the Lakers have worked out or met with. Harrison Faigen is co-host of the Locked on Lakers podcast (subscribe here), and you http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2017/6/12/15789336/2017-nba-draft-rumors-josh-jackson-cancels-workout-with-celtics-la-lakerscan follow him on Twitter at @hmfaigen.

Or perhaps the Celtics are really trading down to 5.

I wouldn't mind that either. After scouting him further I might like Mitchell better as a scorer than DSJ. He is fast, crafty, gets to the rim well, good spot up shooter, long with a strong frame and has a very high upside on D.

If not Frank than I want Mitchell.

Huh? DSJ is literally a better version of what Mitchell is offensively. Your hope in taking Mitchell is that he gets to where DSJ is right now on offense lol

In their only head to head meeting Mitchell held DSJ to 8 points, while scoring 28pts. Mitchell is a cannibal on defense.

Dennis Smith, 6’2” freshman point guard, N.C. State
“Really gifted at getting his shot off. Needs to improve his consistency on the jump shot. I want to see how committed he can be at the defensive end. He has all the physical tools to succeed, but can he trust his teammates? He can fall asleep on defense. He’s a Derrick Rose-type athlete. He needs to go to the right team. He’s a guy that gets you fired. He quit on his team in some of the games I was at. I’m not a fan of his body language. I’d be scared if he was staring me in the face and I felt I had to take him.”

Donovan Mitchell, 6’2” sophomore guard, Louisville
“Absolutely love him. His athleticism and wing span are intriguing. He can cover a lot of the floor. If he can get a consistent jump shot I think he has the chance. High character young man, strong calves and lower body. Improving three-point shooter. I think he can be a lottery pick. Didn’t measure well height-wise, but he has a 6’10” wing span so it doesn’t matter.”

It will most likely be frank. It's time we start accepting it now.

It's all about 2018 draft. Thats when we get our 2nd star to pair with porzingis. Doncic or mpjr

I'd be happy with Ayton or Bamba.

Why wouldn't Portland just do draft picks to Clev for Love direct and cut us out completely?

Salary cap issue. Portland needs to shed contracts to absorb Love. That is where we come in.

I take these guys in this order

Frank
Dennis
Donovan
Monk

With frank, lee and kp we would finally be a good defensive team... "when melo leaves"

That length is unteachable, at worst he becomes a high iq pass first 10pta 10 assist per game player that can spot up shoot at best he becomes this amazing Gianni's type player with defense creating high iq and just great.

Look at the bucks with there length. There becommmig lethal.

Now picture the Knicks with kp and frank. Point guards will have so much trouble Lee and handle the shooting guards and kp can cause trouble in the paint.

If we can draft dondic next year man we will be looking awesome!

We also might be getting anther first round pick

I want to take a flyer in harry Giles,
Caleb Swannigan, frank mason.

I really want this team to be filled with high iq smart players rather than want to be stars like melo I wouldn't mind be a spurs lite team. With a chance to maybe steal a chip.

I can't stand how we also got the flashy ISO players who end up being selfish and dumb no defense ala eddy curry, Marbury, Francis, amare, MELO.

I can't wait fellas 9 days we have so much to choose from and I feel like this draft is going to be that new infusion into the league. Get ready for a change fellas because it coming.

Imagine we get our future star to partner with our current young star kp while getting rid of the trash in melo.

The guy who litterly has defined what the Knicks become a ducky franchise it will be like a new start.

I know we won't be good this upcoming year but if we can show flashes like the thunder did and how the warriors did it.

We got our second rounder with Willy like the warriors got with draymond. Nothing close to similar as players just draft status. We got out first round talent with kp. Now we just need one more and some filling of the roster and some hope kp blossoms.

Haha it's early and I'm just trying to be positive guys don't hate me for this lol. Love y'all let stay positive and bring good vibes.

Even if Ntilikina becomes an All-NBA defender, I don't think he does anything to guys like Curry or Durant. The league has made guarding guys like them impossible. Beverley and Tony Allen have little impact against them. I think you need players who can attack guys like Curry and Durant and force them to defend. Monk and Smith project to be scorers so I'd much rather go with them. Or you can go with Mitchell who is the best defender in the draft and has offensive potential.

It's funny when I read this topic, all the top 10 except Frank, have potential to be all star or superstar. monk ( somes peoples says frank have no potential to ba a star but monk have it and compare to smith or lou williams) isaac , everyone. But if there are 7-8 all star in this draft so it could be the best draft of the History...

I kinda feel the opposite with Frank. I watched Klay Thompson guard Kyrie, JR and Lebron depending on what the situation called for all series and even though he didn't always get stops; he afforded the other key players a chance to focus on offense, avoid foul trouble and take advantage of mismatches when possession flipped. Frank has the size and length to be that kind of versatile defender if he adds weight. It's not like Frank doesn't have offensive potential either. Nobody's shutting down Curry or Durant; but having a guy that can guard the best offensive player 1-3 for spells would really offer flexibility for a coach.

The spurs were the Only team that I saw have The Warriors truly fuccked up in the Playoffs. They were +25 before Leonard got hurt. -25 after he was hurt. So it shows that team that is built with solid defense can trump the warriors.Im 100% confident the Spurs would have given the warriors more of a run than the Cavs.

You Build Piece by Piece. Like I said before, Knick Fans love the way Spurs play untill they have a chance to be like them. OMG. we don't get a super scorer this year we are doomed. Its the last Draft ever. Get them before they run out. Frank and KP Living up to their fullest is a hell of a combo, that you can pieces to year after year.

Y'all expecting Frank to stop guys like Lebron and Steph? Y'all funny as hell. Most they can do is slow players like them down but 2 tier guys and everybody else would have fits playing against him.

It's going to take Frank time to even stop the 2nd tier players as he gets used to the speed of the NBA.

some people are even comparing Frank to Shump

Read on Twitter

Shump isn't doing this move, especially not at 18. Matter of fact, Shump gets no PT on Frank's squad when he's 18.
