“I’m under contract as a Pacer. That’s all that needs to really be known. I’m here. I’m a Pacer. Again, what I’ve been dealing with is stories. You guys talking or teams talking. I’m a Pacer. There’s no way around that. This is my team, my group and this is where I’m at. I don’t talk to LeBron at all. We don’t communicate. I look up to LeBron, obviously. He’s been a tremendous ambassador to this game. He’s been a very huge influencer for me outside of the game, but we don’t communicate and figure out where one another’s going. Again, what I’ve always been preaching, more so than you see now, is having guys I can win with. Wanting to win, it came from the heart and it’s very sincere on wanting to bring that to Indiana. That’s where my heart is going to always be at. It’s all about bringing a championship to Indiana.”

Let me translate;

Paul George - Get me outta hear or I'm gonna bounce to LA
Kevin Pritchard - Paul, we can get you outta here if you stop acting like a jackass in front of the media.
Paul George - Word
Kevin Pritchard - YEAH, just STFU and at least ACT like you want to be here. We will figure something out.

I'll be pissed if Paul George somehow lands with the Cavs. Ugh.

I have been trying to figure out the market for him. Who would risk assets. Who is in win now mode. Not sure about the inner workings of these being possible, but here's how I see it;

Charlotte - Zeller, Kaminsky, MKG

Detroit - Drummond, Harris, Jackson, KCP

Milwaukee - Parker, Maker, Brogden

Orlando - Vucevic, Gordon, Hezonja, Payton

Washington - Porter, Oubre

Minnesota - Dunn, Lavine, Gieng

Oklahoma City - Oladipo, Sabonis

Pheonix - Bledsoe, Bender, Chriss, Len, Warren

If I were Charlotte (Jordan influence), Orlando (desperate), Minny (they would be REALLY good), Phoenix (Need to consolidate) I would take the risk. Do any of those beat Celtics offers or Cle (Love), I think so.

What if PG's agent goes to them and flat out says, "You have zero chance of even making the ECF. I wanna win right away. I'm not interested in joining your club. There's no way in hell I'm resigning there." If you're Phoenix or Orlando or whoever, do you still throw away your assets?

That narrows the field. If I'm putting myself in PG's shoes, Pistons, Magic, Suns, and Hornets have little appeal to me. Playing in the West isn't ideal either if making the Finals is a goal.

Although unlikely, something those lesser teams can do is facilitate a three-team trade that sends Paul George to the Cavs, if they're willing to part with Kevin Love. Bucks, Minny, Pistons, and Hornets could all use a stretch four who can boost their offense. You can even include the Nuggets who have the assets to pull it off. Indy gets young prospects + picks for PG who might walk at the end of the season, Cavs get a top-notch two way star who can help in defending KD, and third team gets consolation prize in Love.

BUT TEAMS SHOULD STOP HELPING THE CAVS AND DUBS!

Thinking out loud.

If Hayward signs with us, does Utah make Gobert available and try to cash in assets to strengthen their future?

If so, who would be in play for him?

Don't particularly care to be honest, we aren't beating them anyways. Makes the Finals more exciting.

Eh, seems farfetched. Young stud centers are hard to come by.

I don't want the Cavs to improve. And I don't want to see the same two teams in the Finals for the 4th straight year. Go Spurs go! And even if it's not the Celtics, any East team but a Lebron-led one in the Finals, please.

I seriously believe we are close to beating the Cavs, the Warriors, who knows.

Let's get positive about our team! This fair-weather fan crap is pissing me off.

You can be positive about your team, but still not be delusional. We are a good, hard working, scrappy team that plays with heart. We have nice young pieces. But we are not anywhere close to competing with the Cavs.. let alone beating them. Doesn't make you a fairweather fan... Just means you watch and understand basketball.

Agree. And I watched nearly every game of that 25 win season a few years ago lol so I'm no fairweather. I just don't believe we are anywhere close to beating the Cavs yet. That's okay, we have a lot of really high ceiling young guys coming. We don't need to beat the Cavs yet. Warriors lux tax is going to sky rocket soon too...2020-2021ish will be our time.

The book would be a good start.

And the fact that you said "who knows" to us beating the Warriors makes me think you don't watch basketball at all. So after you're through with the book, I'll send over some Youtube links to introduce you to the NBA.

We will be hitting our primes as Cavs leave theirs. If Cavs do nothing then we basically only have like one contender. Dubs will get better as they play together longer.

Somethings eventually gonna break down in GSW too. Curry and Durant seem like they will be content forever but Green and Thompson will eventually cause problems.

It has to be via trade and then it's not **** this league, it's **** the GM of rival team X.
