Truth be told, Lance Stephenson

Post#1 » by Augusto61 » Mon Jun 19, 2017 2:45 am

Lance Stephenson ruined the Pacers. I won't even say a thing about 2013 cause they did the best they could, but in 2014 he ruined his team chances by being dumb and trying to tease the Heat players. After they were eliminated Paul George answered "I don't know", when asked if he wanted Lance back on the team.
In 2017 he is back on the Pacers and he destroyed their momentum in game 2 by being dumb again and fouling Kevin Love out of frustation. Season ended and guess what? Paul George wants out.

Truth be told, Lance Stephenson made Indian a far better team in the playoffs and last 6 games of the season than they would have been without him.

+12.0 On/off during the last 6 games of the RS
+17.6 On/off during the 4 playoff games against Cleveland

They actually outscored the Cavs by 4.2 points per100 with Lance on the court in that series.... and they lost that series by an average of 4 points per game.

He's on the team for a full season and they win 50 games.

Not to mention, PG13 averaged nearly 30/8/6 in the 10 games Lance played... and only 23/6/4 in the 69 games he did not.

You might be right in regards to his relationship with PG but he didn't do anything wrong in the cavs series. Bad coaching had him and Teague and others constantly mismatched.

Lance helped them make the playoffs to begin with - when he came back they had a new life as a team and started playing better. I think he's a good player and he plays w/ a lot of heart and gives it his all - he just does some idiotic crap sometimes (but so does Draymond Green and look at all the accolades he gets).

Remember that scene at the end of the Toronto game - lol!

Paul George and Lance Stephenson are very good friends. The Pacers bringing Lance back has nothing to do with PG leaving, it was a move made to try and keep PG happy.

Don't forget he also renewed for taking the last shot which in this case think of the face being a ball :banghead:

Lance made them better... Was anyone expecting them to beat the Cavs???
The Cavs were just a better team at every position, and as a unit. The Pacers never gave PG13 a true 2nd all-star level partner. Lance is more of a energy/glue guy

Larry Bird ruined the Pacers by trading Granger for Evan Turner. Not only did he destroy team chemistry, but he constantly threw players and the coach and under the bus.

Disappointed this isn't a Lance Stephenson Player's Tribune article.

I actually thought it was going to be a "TIL Lance Stephenson pushed his girlfriend down a flight of stairs then slammed her head against the bottom stair for not answering her phone" thread.

You mean where he scored easy two points because the raptors thought there is no need to defend the last couple of seconds?

I haven't really followed closely either of them, so I'm gonna ask the question....

Do you see any ressemblance between Lance Stephenson and Draymond Green?

How would Draymond do in a less succesful team? Would he get frustrated and create problems like Lance Stephenson did?
