Brown will be considered better than Crowder by the end of next season. Probably by the All Star break. Brown will breakout this season.

I spy with my little eye Gerald Green and the Little Guy. Maybe he also wants to team up with Blake Griffin. ;)

There's more!

'Jaylen Brown is only $1.8M/yr cheaper than Jae Crowder and has no chance of being as good before they both hit FA. Crowder's value is >>>'

Goes on to say Jae is 'miles better than Jaylen and it isn't realistic that he will close the gap in 3 years'.

I have no words..

Image

FWIW, I don't believe it either. Brown easily is the more talented individual between the two and has more upside. In three years, Brown can surpass Crowder. I don't doubt that. But if you ask Brad who he wants on a winning team next season, he'd choose Jae over Jaylen.

I don't buy this. In 3 years Jaylen will be a restricted FA, I think he has more value. Jaylen/PG13/Tatum would make a great wing rotation.

Less than 5% chance that Jaylen passes Crowder this next season and we're in good shape if he does.

I actually doubt that. We shall see but I think we are gonna see a difference maker in Jaylen this October. He will be a starter in short order unless he isn't who I think he is.

Yep. I'm with you. Demakis went too far with "end of free agency". Brown makes the leap in his 3rd year in my estimation.

I don't know about that.
Crowder is very weak mentally, and honestly really isn't that good of a player. He's a glorified hustle guy with a football players body who worked on a streaky 3 point shot.

He was garbage in the playoffs, short of one wizards game.

Jaylen was going at Cleveland in the ECF in game 2 when the whole team quit. Jaylen was clapping his hands guarding Lebron, pumping himself up. Crowder yelled at Jerebko in game 4 after Lebron got by Jae himself, which killed all momentum Celtics had in game 4.

On a "championship team" next year, the team would have stars, therefor both Jae and Jaylen are coming off the bench, and Jae will certainly not be the sixth man. He'll be deeper off the bench, and Jaylen is a future stud. Brad would pick Jaylen.

Brad is stone cold, but he likes Jaylen.

I don't know, and I could be wrong, but I didn't see Brad sending Crowder out there to chase Beal around. Guarding 3's and 4's, sure, but Brown is quicker laterally and I'd want to have him around to take the burden off said max free agent chasing guys around screens.

If Bradley is sent out, you're right. Positionally, Brown makes more sense to keep. Tatum/George can take care of the 3/4 slot. Hayward/Smart/Brown the 2/3.

Lol dude I don't know why you're so pessimistic. Ainge has flat out said he will trade for a rental if it's the right player, he tried to trade for George at the deadline and said talks would resume in June, and he could be had for a modest price. I find it very very likely Boston makes a run at him

He actually isn't that bad. Has some genuine insight. It's just he's an amateur first, a la Bill Simmons (just not to the same blinkered degree).

Cole Zwicker is the rich man's Dean - check him out.
