Boston saves 4 million dollars going into free agency, can go after Griffin or Hayward. Horford has an ugly contract and I'm guessing Boston wouldn't mind getting rid of it.

Why would the Bulls do it? We take back trash and give out the best players in the deal.

Clippers exploring trading Jordan

Butler and Jordan are close, would love to have a center that can actually finish around the basket

3 way deal

Bulls trade: Wade + Lopez + 16th pick
Bulls receive: Jordan + J. Crawford + 44th pick

Knicks trade: Anthony + 44th pick + 58th pick
Knicks receive: Griffin + W. Johnson

Clippers trade: Jordan + Griffin + Crawford + Johnson
Clippers receive: Wade + Anthony + lopez + 16th pick + 58th pick

Why for the Clippers:

1. They go from having no picks in this draft to having a first and 2nd round pick
2. They unite Wade, Anthony and Paul in LA basically all set up for Lebron to jump ship
3. They get an above average center
4. They get out of paying Crawford

Why for Knicks:

1. They rid themselves of Anthony while getting back a better player in Griffin and only having to give up late 2nd round picks.
2. If they are entertaining the idea of moving Porzingis as stated then they have an Allstar replacement PF in place

Why for Bulls:

1. You get rid of the negative influence of Wade without upsetting Butler as he seems very close to Jordan
2. Jordan jerseys in Chicago again :)
3. You lose a pick sure, but that pick could be a bust, you end up with one of the best centers in the league and become a lot more athletic, if he can set up Felicio so many times imagine the lobs from Rondo to Jordan...
4. Crawford is old but he still has great handles and can still get hot from time to time
5. Butler returns to playing his most suitable position of SG

Could the Bulls convince the Rockets to take Valentine and Payne with a future 2nd round pick for Beverley?

Sign James Johnson and PJ Tucker in free agency

C Jordan
PF James Johnson,
SF PJ Tucker
SG Butler
PG Beverley

You end up with 4 athletic and strong players that can knock down the 3 with a dominant rebounder/shot blocker. That's a team I'd be very happy with

The bench

Felicio/?
Mirotic/Portis
Zipser/?
Crawford/Grant
Rondo/ Canaan

Jordan and Butler that's an exciting duo both from Texas that are around the same age.

**Other options to pursue for PF Ibaka, Millsap, or Gibson or at SF Sefolosha to complete the returning players chosen at 16 free agency :)

Would Payne + Grant be enough?

Rockets don't really have many players that can guard PG's better than they can. I know they aren't so into playing defense, but it could be nice for them.

Bulls front office would be admitting that their previous trades were pretty bad, but at least they could salvage a quality player out of it.

I like DeAndre Jordan and love Pat Beverley. But this roster would struggle to score 80 points a game.

And with the UC fans purely motivated by the opportunity to pay $50+ per ticket to get a free Big Mac (and get hit in the face by a tshirt cannon) they would not get behind a team that isn't able to deliver on those tasty heart attacks. With the threat of fans consistently leaving games by the end of the 3rd quarter with scores below 55, Reinsdorf would never sign off on such a deal that would not allow concessions and gift shops to have frenzied/fed fans stay for at least an additional 30-60 mins.

I'd do Deandre Jordan for Robin and 16 easily.

Then if we get one of Beverly or Teodosic, we have become significantly better. Won't even think about somehow signing Lowry.

Forreal, a lineup of Beverly Butler Valentine Mirotic/Portis and DeAndre would probably be our best lineup next year in +/-

Why would we get Jordan for Robin and 16? I thought the rumor is that LAC offered Deandre to Phoenix for the 4th pick. Seems like the values off on that one.

Apparently the Suns "scoffed at that offer" of requesting Chandler and #4

You think they'd struggle to score? I honestly think that's a much improved roster than last season. Defensively that starting lineup is beastly, that alone gets you extra looks and prevents teams from just destroying the Bulls right out of the gate

Jordan, Johnson, Tucker, Butler and Beverley is possibly the best defensive starting lineup in the league if they came together and had the right system in place

I don't think they would struggle to score to be honest I think they'd get out and run a whole lot more and there's decent 3 point shooting from 1-4 in your starters

If the Rockets were stupid enough to trade PB for Payne and Grant that would be an amazing deal for the Bulls, but I don't think that's at all possible

I'd give them Valentine and Payne + a 2nd round pick if that helps them.

Canaan might fit well with their style of play too

So we could have had our PG of the future in Russell if we had taken that Mozgov contract......?

Everyone knows the Lakers were taking a PG with that pick and Russell had to be on the table.
I really hope we took a big swing at this.

I think the kid is gonna be happy out there in Brooklyn where he can just ball and chuck up 40 shots a night.

This kid is special, I'm pretty jealous Brooklyn scored him.
It would not surprise me if he has a better NBA career than Fultz or Ball.

Can we have Swaggy P now? We still need a scorer.....
Swaggy P and Justin Jackson out there on the arc

Yeah, that's kind of a bummer. I would have made a run at Russel. Deng and Russell for Wade or Rondo and the 16. I think they'd be just as happy to unload Deng as Mozgov.

Deng is overpaid but he's a decent 3/4. Russell/Wade/Jimmy/Deng/Lopez is an interesting 5.

I don't think they would have taken Lopez. This was a salary dump.

DeAndre is not worth a lottery pick in this draft. He's gonna opt out and become unrestricted in 2018, so it's absurd asking for that much value.

I'd offer Lopez, Rondo, Grant, $9m TPE for Jordan and Crawford... Along with having him announce that he's 100% signing with Chicago in 2018, after colluding with Jimmy.

They can waive Rondo ($11m non-guaranteed) and dump Crawford's 37-year old, bloated salary.

Sign a stop-gap or two with remaining cap, and save up for another addition in 2018 when Wade's off the books.

If RoLo was able to muscle up the Celtics, I'd love to see DJ go to work. Crawford's 3P shot would actually be helpful, despite his age, limitations and contract.

Assuming we keep butler.

Renounce the rights to Mirotic and MCW.

Bulls get: Lou Will, Ryan Anderson, Beverly
Rockets get: Rondo (waive him), and Payne

Take take on 32 mil in their salary. Get more depth and just better overall. Shooters around butler. Would rather pay Anderson 18 mil a year for 3 years than Mirotic even 10 mil for 3-4 years. Beverly returns home. Perfect 3D pg. Lou great scorer off the bench, horrible D but oh well.

Rockets get a ton of cap space to go for milsap griffin, cp0 etc.

Return to Chicago Bulls
