In order to keep Waiters at that $15 million and sign Griffin, I think we'd need to have that Josh McRoberts money gone. Not replaced, as you did, but gone.

That's roughly $52.7 million in salary, not including cap holds or the rights to Bam, which should be about $2 million. If the cap is $99 million, you'd be looking at $44.3 million in space. Sounds great, right? It is. We can sign a max free agent like Griffin and possibly keep Waiters for close to that $15 million that he will command/want.
Green takes $10 million of that money. You're choosing Green over Waiters. And why would the Spurs make that awful trade?
That's not even taking into account that Collison can probably garner a pretty huge contract right now, so I don't see why he'd come here for the minimum...
