I think those assistant coaches are idiots without Phil however this is a major concern about KP. If he ends up like his idol, playing blame game instead of reality check will take this franchise nowhere.

This is exactly what Phil did throughout his tenure here. Everything was to be blamed on someone else. Even as he stands jobless and his legacy as a great basketball mind taking a love tap Phil still has his damn fingers pointed at everyone but himself.

Everyone was a malcontent now? Everyone were negatives now? Nothing positive? Everyone was insubordinate? Everyone?

These are the fuqing players you brought here. Look in the damn mirror Phil. They weren't malcontent. They just didn't possess the skills needed to make **** work with whatever we were trying to do and that's where roster building comes into play. You are garbage at putting together cohesive rosters. PERIOD.

Melo creates such place because of his attitude, character issues and short comings as a player and leader. He is a conman looking for keep it going as much as he can. He found a great place with Dolan & star crazy, attitude loving, hero ball fans.

It was toxic before & during Phil.

Now you're attacking Melo as a person because you don't like the way he plays ball.

You should follow Phil. Oh wait...

I'm all for a rebuild, however, I know KP would hate to have another losing season and he might whine if the Knicks stand pat this season and don't try to improve. So I could see KP being a problem in the near future even with Phil's firing.

The Knicks gotta do with that fake hustle and act as if they're not rebuilding, but in reality, they are.

Whatever. Karl is a jackass, Mike has finger pointing syndrome and no other coach has come out to blame Melo for some random ****. His personal life? Really bruh? Teammates? 99.9% of Melo's teammates love that dude. Try again. NeNe's bum ass was the only one to goin on Melo over what sounded like jealousy. Other teammates spoke more on his strengths snd weaknesses and what he needed to be great. No one bashed the dude like that.

It's real fuqed up to attack a dude personally(draging irrelevant personal stuff in the conversation) because you don't like him as an athlete.

They love him because he doesn't care as long as they don't cross his territory. Amare has spoken about him clear. Everyone likes a leader who don't bother anyone and keep teammates responsible.

George Karl, D'antoni & Jackson.. All great to legendary coaches. I'll go with their words over Melo. 4 coaches & 4 GM's lost their jobs so far in Melo's Knicks years.

karl has a 60% win percentage and a near ring.. 12 season 50+ wins with multiple franchises.. multiple 60+ win seasons

dantoni was robbed of a ring, modernized the nba offense, and 5 seasons at 54+ wins.. and will win 60 next season

jackson has 900 rings

not a joke

Pure speculation.

But most people don't criticize co-workers in public without being attacked first. I wouldn't be surprised if there were other players/coaches who feel a certain way. Again pure speculation, but Mel gives off that passive aggressive vibe. Melo has also been well coached on his public image. He's usually very careful with his words, never saying anything that will mess with his money. I give the guy a lot of credit, despite all the media attention he remains Mellow for a lack of better words.

Based on his interactions in the past I think its fair to make a couple assumptions:

1. Winning isn't the #1 priority.

2. He expects the "system" to be built around his talent and at times can be reluctant to play out of his comfort zone.

Not making winning a priority from your best player is a big issue for me. The 2nd assumption is less of an issue because you have to play to your strengths. But for a player who is no longer in his prime, being willing to play differently will go a long way towards extending his career.

Its absolute insanity to allow the offense to run through a guy who cares more about comfort than winning. Can you imagine being WHG who's playing for a second contract, having to play with someone like that? I have to pass th eball to the guy who's more worried about comfort and his points than winning? It's toxic and a joke. It's like the Knicks are Melo's charity. Its absolutely pathetic how this team has allowed him to do whatever he wants. And falling back on the kid excuse? GTFOH
