i agree they should have ended up with butler or george.... should have parted with the brooklyn and lakers picks for a premium asset like butler.

that said... they have Tatum, Brown, and maybe 2 high lotto picks next year and may still add heyward to thomas and horford.

they should be good for a really long time. i dont know about tatum but brown is going to be an allstar

I don't think they are in a good position going forward.

If they wanted to rebuild they should have kept Fultz and traded Thomas.

Now they have a bunch of rookies stuck behind a 50 win teams full of veterans.

Makes no sense to me at all.

they are a 50 win team stocked with top 3 picks... yet this is a bad thing? lol.

no one is stuck. brown and tatum will be the first guys off the bench. both will play plenty. boston is good now and will continue to be good for a long time as long as injuries dont play a role.

why would they rebuild? they are 1 lebron injury or move to LA from being in the nba finals

I didn't say its a bad thing. Its just an incredible waste.

Boston had a chance to challenge the Warriors if they added Hayward and George/Butler.

I don't see the purpose of "top 3 picks" on 50 win teams. When was the last time you saw a player develop on a really good team.

The most recent example we had was Darko.

19 year old players need a lot of playing time and patience to reach their full potential. I just don't see that happening in Boston. Its not going to happen by "coming off the bench."

One LeBron injury? LOL

You mean the guy that never gets injured.

I'm not convinced that they beat Washington next season. I think they over achieved last year.

Man, the Celtics really blew it. What was Ainge thinking? All this "they're trading the #1 pick for 2 first rounders... what are they up to?!"

and then nothing.

makes me smile.

and re the Paul George trade.... as MDB likes to say, OKC "took Indy behind the woodshed".

Haven't shared my opinion but freakin luv the idea of westbrook n pg but idk how they gonna mesh... two confident all stars both wanting to be the man...

But I can PG giving more way to Westbrook than Westbrook giving to George.

Should they play nice, great potential there.... hellllll JJ Reddick should think about signing with OKC if possible.

Imagine an Eastern conference where...

- Paul George went to the Wizards
- Jimmy Butler went to the Celtics
- Carmelo Anthony goes to the Cavs
- Gordon Hayward goes to the Heat

would've brought the EC back to life... but hey, at least we'll have an actual far fetched chance to make the playoffs now

I feel like it only made sense for him to join Boston if they had a Super team.

Now it just seems kind of stupid.

Whats the point of giving up money to get beat up by LeBron.

Might as well stay in Utah and get the unconditional love of the fans there.

I can't understand why the hell Pacers even considered that Thunder offer, let alone accept it. Obviously, I'm delighted that he didn't go to Boston and actually ended up going to a team that I like. But still, it makes absolutely no sense to me. I'd be furious right now if I was a Pacers fan.

Seems clear they were focused on trading him out or conference, can't believe Cleveland (Love) or Boston didn't offer a better package for that.

Oladipo & Sabonis for a 2nd tier "star" expiring, the sequel. First Ibaka, now George. Who do they fetch for Indiana next year?
