Part of that might be that Vlade and his crew are working the phones looking for deals with other teams. I would imagine it will take time to sort through all of it.

Yeah maybe Vlade and crew followed rules and started at 9:01pm pst while the rest of the league started yesterday.

I don't remember as many bogus agreements tweeted like Ingles 4/60 from Magic and Rudy to Spurs then shortly thereafter their agents saying that haven't even started meeting with teams and decisions won't be for days.

Wizards smartly didn't offer Porter Jr. max in their meeting, now Otto will go meet with teams to search for his max. Wiz will match but I like how they approached this.

Think about this: with Curry and Livingston new deals GS has committed $225M to the Point guard position.

Aldrich is due $7.3M in 2017, $6.95M in 2018

I'd gladly take that Rubio 1st for Cole. Too bad this guy is speculating. I hope Minnesota makes rhia kind of move

Hahaha, no kidding. Things are starting to solidify and numbers are starting to get real for other teams. That might be the best time for the Kings to get conversations started with other teams to start clearing cap space for them. Teams that are looking to add a player asking for that much, but that only have this much could be to the Kings benefit in the next few days.

For those that are impatient like me I checked when the Kings reached agreements with their free agents last year. Afflalo and Tolliver were just before 3pm on 7/2 and Temple was 4pm 7/3 and Barnes 8pm 7/3. Don't expect anything for at least day or two.

It's immediately what I thought when they made that deal. The issue for them now is that I think that's OKC's pick from what I read, so it probably just got a bit worse in terms of value after tonight.

Aldrich's contract is worth it IMO.

Maybe the Kings will finally get their 3 and D wing???

I say lets make it interesting. Go the all toughness route, sign Simmons and Tucker and roll small with them at F and Willie at C with Fox and Buddy there to do all the scoring. If you can't beat the Warriors you might as well beat them up.

Yeah it's not terrible by any stretch. You would just hope that a team would hold the Wolves up a little because he could be a big difference maker in them getting that next big piece.

I was thinking, instead of Millsap I think they should instead take that money and split it between Redick and Gibson.

The Kings could sign Jonathon Simmons with Gilbert Arenas provision tactic. Spurs can only offer around $9 million per because the Arenas provision limits the first-year salary that teams can offer restricted free agents who have only been in the league for one or two years. The starting salary for an offer sheet can't exceed the amount of the non-taxpayer mid-level exception around ($9 million), which allows the player's original team to use its MLE to match it. Where Kings can get creative is between second and third year they can have salary jump. I believe that's what Nets attempted to do to Heat with Tyler Johnson contract. What would you be willing to jump that 3rd year to?

They are doing exactly what they should. Would you rather that they offer a max to millsap or Lowry asap?

Pat Patterson by the numbers 2016-2017

FG% .401

Shot selection: 65% of his shots were from 3

3pt% .372

2 point FG% .458

TS% .542

Comparing his shot attempts to prior years it looks like Ppat took on a smaller role this past year, basically sitting on the 3 point line for space. He can still shoot it, but I don't think he's the guy id bring in.

Andre Iguodala
Jason Terry
Ramon Sessions
Shelvin Mack
Jose Calderon
Vince Carter
Thabo Sefolosha
Tony Allen
Amir Johnson
Patrick Patterson
Joel Anthony
PJ Tucker

Just choose to add few good character veterans to mentor young guys in this rebuild. Good culture is important. Not a fan of Lawson. It's not about making playoffs anyways it's about finding the right veterans to mentor the young ones.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

I would take Terry, Sessions, Calderon and Joel Anthony off that list, but the rest of them I am fine with. I like that they won't take a ton of minutes away from the young guys and are old enough to have their egos tempered. Terry burned the Kings before, Sessions had a bad year playing here and I don't see him as a good mentor, I don't think Calderon can relate to our young PG's, and Joel Anthony shouldn't be getting a minute of playing time and not worth a minimum imo (we have too much cap space to be going for a minimum player). The other guys are great- Mack, Carter, Sefolosha, Allen, Johhnson, Patterson and Tucker.
