Cavs/Hornets/Nuggets/Bulls...post Millsap
Cavs trade- Love, Shumpert, Frye
Cavs get- Marvin, Faried, Barton, Jameer, Miller
C- TT
PF- Marvin/Faried
SF- James/Korver/RJ
SG- JR/Barton/Miller
PG- Irving/Calderon/Jameer
Cavs do this b/c: they add depth to a team that could have used some during that championship series. Marvin still provides the outside shooting that Love did. Faried gives them the athletic big who will score and pull down rebounds. He can also play Center when playing small ball. Adding Calderon was a nice signing for the Cavs. However, I think instead of relying on him to solely run the 2nd unit, Jameer gives them a nice backup PG rotation to keep fresher legs. Lastly, I think Barton would be a great spark off the bench and he'd provide more for this team than Shumpert would.
Hornets trade- Marvin, Lamb, '18 1st, '20 1st
Hornets get- Love
C- Dwight/Zeller
PF- Love/Frank
SF- MKG/(FA)
SG- Batum/Monk
PG- Kemba/MCW
Hornets do this b/c: they seem to be operating within a 3 year window. While they lose depth on the perimeter, Love would be a perfect addition to put with Dwight! We still have some money (MLE) to go sign a cheap backup SF. If MJ wants to prove he's serious about winning, then he needs to be willing to pay a little over the luxury. I know Hornets fans will claim 2 1st rounders are too much to give up. But look at Love's body of work. Even as the 3rd option in Cleveland, he put up enough points to be our 2nd leading scorer. He would have also been our leading rebounder. You gotta pay to play, which is what the Hornets need to do! This would be an extremely fun team to watch
Nuggets trade- Faried, Barton, Jameer, Miller
Nuggets get- Wade, '18 1st
C- Jokic/Plumlee
PF- Millsap/Hernangomez
SF- Chandler
SG- Wade/Harris
PG- Murray/Mudiay
Nuggets do this b/c: we know the Nuggets coveted Wade last offseason. adding Millsap shows they are serious about the playoffs. Instead of having a logjam at PF, they move some pieces to acquire a playoff vet in Wade. This move also frees up cap for next near when they have to resign Harris. I know they don't want to lose Barton but it appears he's going to explore free agency next year, so they turn him into a 2018 1st rounder.
Bulls trade- Wade
Bulls get- Shumpert, Lamb, Frye (exp.), '20 1st
C- Lopez
PF- Portis/Markkanen
SF- Shump/Lamb
SG- Lavine/Holiday
PG- Dunn/Grant/Payne
Bulls do this b/c: they no longer need Wade since they're rebuilding. They currently don't have any legit SF's that they can put on the floor. Shump and Lamb provide that for them. I feel a lot of people are assuming a buyout with Wade will occur. While that's probably the case, I would think trading him would be a better option, especially since the guys they'd be getting back would be nice pieces on a team trying to rebuild. They also get a future 1st in the deal.
Cavs get- Marvin, Faried, Barton, Jameer, Miller

Denver says no, Harris needs more SG minutes not less.

The way I look at it is:
Faried for Wade
1 yr of Barton for a 1st
While u might still be right that they say no, I don't think that value is too far off. Especially given the news that the Nuggets are looking to trade away Faried and Author in order to sign George Hill. The same argument could be made that Murray and Mudiay (jury is still out on him) need more PT

Denver definitely says yes. Wade can come off the bench. Or let Wade, Harris and Beasley fight it out for minutes.
Wade will need to take games off as well.
Wade will need to take games off as well.

I think it's Cleveland who says no, if anyone would.

Can't trade back to back picks. Charlotte would have to do '18 and '20.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Fixed, thank you. That 2020 pick would potentially be following a season of no Dwight or Kemba seeing as their contracts expire in 2 season. So we probably need to add some protection...but that's negotiable in my opinion.

Swap Faried for Chandler and send both firsts to Cleveland and I think the value/fit is more likely to entice them. Shumpert should go to Denver as well if Chandler is going out instead of Faried.

The Cavs trade Love and the best player they get back is Marvin Williams?! No.

That'd leave the Nuggets with Millsap, Faried, Hernangomez, Lyle's and Lydon at PF...plus downgrade from Chandler to Shumpert...adding Shump's $10 mill means Denver would have to renounce Plumlee's cap hold and he becomes an unrestricted free agent...and u don't give them a 1st? Why would the Nuggets do this?
I did have a Cavs fan "And 1" the proposal...I realize that's just one fan, but maybe the value for the Cavs isn't too far off here

Are you implying you want the 18 pick unprotected? And what protections would you put on the 2020 pick?

I think realistically the Hornets have to take a risk if they want to get Love. With that lineup next year, I don't see us being a lotto team...however Dwight, Zeller and MKG are known to get injuries. So who knows what can happen. But if we want the best player in the deal, I think it's only right for us to put a top 3 protection on the 2018 pick. We have to assume some risk, point blank.
The 2020 pick is a different story. I'd say top 10 protected with the right to swap picks if that were to help the Bulls more

Adding 2 reserves they have signed
the other teams I don't know but
The Bulls would be pretty much willing to make any trade for Wade that brings back a pick. So they would do this

This is really awful for the Cavs. I'm not going to go all in on it but it's not really fixable from their perspective. Most of the players they're getting wouldn't get minutes in a Finals series. They can get past-their-sell-by-date veterans without giving up Love.

I think you'd have to start with MKG & Williams. The only reason for the Cavs to trade Love this year would be to improve their chances against GS. Next year if LBJ is walking, then the Cavs might trade Love for picks and filler.

You need to improve defensively. Marvin is an excellent defender, he can matchup against the Warriors. And Bledsoe will replace the offensive punch you lose from Love. He'd also be a handful against opposing team benches. And he's a better defender than Kyrie, so you could always have one of them on the court and not lose a beat.
I think this trade would improve your team.

I think realistically Love won't get traded until next summer, and then only if CLE goes rebuild. Otherwise, too hard to balance picks vs. improvement at the same time.

The Cavs don't need picks, that pick needs to be moved for a player we can use. Also, I know this works in the trade machine-but adding $5 million in salary is adding another $15+ million in luxury tax. The Cavs need to be salary neutral and/or favorable.
If we trade Love, it needs to be for cheaper/multiple players.
My modification:
CLE in Bledsoe, Williams, Chandler, Barton
CLE out Love, SHump, Jefferson, Fry
This is to match up better with the Warriors, we would use Chandler as a small ball PF. We could run lineups with Bledsoe and Kyrie together-but we would always have on of them on the floor
Irving-Bledsoe-Calderon
JR-Barton-Korver (Bledsoe would get some minutes here also, if not actually just start him here)
Lebron-Chandler
M Williams-Chandler
TT-Tavares
DEN in Shump, CHA 2020 1st (top 10 protected)
DEN out Chandler, Barton
They get a defensive SG/SF at reasonable deal, don't have to worry about Barton's contract next year and the pick up a first while freeing up about 4.5 million.
PHX in Fry, Jefferson, Lamb, and CHA 2018 1st
PHX out Bledsoe
Fry and Jefferson would be two great vets to have around the young players for a year and both are from UofA.
CHA in Love
CHA out Williams, Lamb, 2018 1st, 2020 1st (top 10)
Charlotte gives up no core pieces and gets Love to pair with Dwight. I think they are getting a steal with this trade. I really think Monk should be going out (to Phoenix?, but take out the 2018 first) and Charlotte should be getting Shump.

I'd obviously still do this since the Hornets are sending the same pieces out. Not sure if Nuggets or Suns would do it...seems like a one hell of a deal for Cleveland.
Love for Bledsoe and Marvin is fair value. But Chandler and Barton for Shump,Frye and RJ is highway robbery.
