Isaiah wont get the max? Youre not being serious are you lol the guy was easily a candidate for MVP. Hes getting a max deal fron someone and boston will match the offer
Bobby Marks from ESPN states:
With Gordon Hayward now agreeing to a four-year $127M max contract, Celtics management now has a series of transactions to do in order to create cap space. The Celtics would have to pull the qualifying offer on
Kelly Olynyk,
renounce free agents Jonas Jerebko,
James Young,
Gerald Green
and waive the contracts of Jordan Mickey
and Demetrius Jackson (or trade).
The Celtics would be left with $27.6M in room and likely need to move the contract of
Jae Crowder, Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart.
Trading Rozier would have the Celtics short $1M of a max salary a lot.
I don't cite ESPN when they discuss rumors, but they're pretty accurate with technical stuff like this. That's a good bit of depth to give up.
I thought they were going to be able to trade for for a real big men because treadmill al horford not going to get them past cle

Are you serious Mos? How about the Lakers? How about any team that wants an insane 30ppg player? He might not get a 5yr super max but he's getting north of $30mill easy. Maybe as part of LA's pitch to PG or anyone else interested in a beast point guard.
Don't fool yourself, he's the type of talent you move contracts to sign, he's better than Hayward.
Don't think having Lonzo Ball or some other team already having a PG will deter them, the money will be found. Jrue freaking Holiday just got $125mill...

Going to have like 5 shooting guards on the roster after we sign Dion. Something has got to give.

I'm down for a trade for LMA.
Whiteside/Aldridge/J. Johnson/Waiters/Dragic is a legit starting 5.
We may have to trade Winslow and my boy J-Rich but I'd take that and run

If things don't work out with Rudy I think we should look at Jeff Green as a reclamation project. Feel like we could turn him in to what Luol Deng was for us. Still hoping we can get Rudy for the right price. Think he's a solid fit for what we need.

Our guards can all play different positions. It's something like this:
Goran: PG/SG
Waiters: SG/PG
TJ: SG/PG
Richardson: SG/PG/SF
Ellington: SG/SF
McGruder: SF/SG
Winslow: PG/SG/SF/PF/C?

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

TJ
Dion
J Rich
McGruder
TJ's the 6th man filling in both positions with J rich playing beside him also in both spots. McGruder is Justise's backup with Okaro being the odd man out imo. Yeah once TJ starts getting paid there are some concerns but salary shouldn't dictate who starts, look at the Warriors when Kerr benched David Lee for Draymond back when he was making the min.
If we move TJ then it doesn't matter if we keep him I like him as a 6th man, yeah the money is a lot but if he plays 30-32mpg regardless it doesn't really matter.
Edit: forgot Ellington, well once TJ gets paid he'll be gone regardless.

LMA is not worth Winslow/J-Rich.
He was a year or two ago. Dude's injury prone, gasses in the playoffs. Really no point in signing him. If he couldn't hack it in San Antonio, he wont in Miami.

that's not his max, tho
LA is gonna be in Westbrook sweepstakes
Holiday got this contract, cuz Pelicans don't have a choise, look what happened with George Hill.
Insane 30ppg player is cool, but he will be 29 next summer and he's 5'7. He will get a reasonable deal like 5/150 but not the max

I think the narrative will change on TJ's salary just like it did with Goran's. He needs to make it worthwhile. I have a gut feeling that he will make it so.

I feel like so many people have given him a shot, it's best we stay away from him
