Agreed. I do think that if we work heavily to improve his shooting/passing and inflate his stats in our system, we could likely move him for a more attractive piece down the line. That potential trade value a year from now makes him worth a protected pick IMO.
Or is Jae Crowder to old to attend 'Hawks University'?
NOTE: I'm still confused why Ainge would dump Crowder on that amazing contract and not Avery Bradley who is an expiring at the same salary and can be more easily replaced by Smart/Rozier.

I think it's that multiple teams are seeking this player and anyone would be underpaying for him. If SAS decides he'd do well next to Kawhi, what's to stop them from sending a late 1st rounder?
