I don't think he will get much playing time, but it is definitely good for his development with NBA training program and facilities. He will replace Sauce well next season.

Re: Welcome Furkan Korkmaz
Does anyone think Korkmaz can become a Kevin Martin like SG for us?
Obviously, this is a best case/ceiling scenario....but Ive been trying to find a comp with similar skill/size and Martin is often one of the finds I keep looking at (after people were talking about his weight in another thread)

And here I am, thinking Korkmaz's best case scenario is replicating Peja Stojakovic's career. At the very least, I think a more reasonable ceiling is Gordon Hayward. It's hard to compare 6'8" Korkmaz with Kevin Martin for me.

Yes to both per Pompey.

TLC must be getting nervous about playing time. Even in practice, he is struggling to land the threes.

Pretty high expectations for a guy drafted late first. When typically those guys end up as role players.

I like this. There is going to be real competition for playing time this year.

Wasn't KMart like 6'7?
I think if Kork can turn into Hayward then that's absolute best case scenario. Heck, if within 2 years Kork is good enough on both ends of the floor to start, then he's a major steal.
Don't see it realistically. But if he can shoot 40%+ from 3pt, and be athletic. And make smart plays, there's definitely room on the floor for him with this roster.

Yes, Kevin Martin was 6'7" 185 lbs coming into the league....just like Korkmaz.
Both were thin but long and lanky. Fluid but not explosive athletes. Decent scoring/offensive instincts and shooting ability w/quick release. Average defensive players but will get you some steals with there length in the passing lanes.
Obviously this would probably be a "best case scenario", but I do see some similarities in them. Guess we will see how he develops.
