A less competitive environment of a rebuilding team could be good for his personal development. He's gaining nothing but chemistry with teammates by playing in the summer league.

Let's be clear here. IF he shows to be a good player in SL (and even Pre-season), I would want him developed up here. Given your point that he was good in the D-League, is encouraging. If he can't show progress, then send him down for half a season, and try again.

I want to see pretty much them all.
Lauri for the obvious reason: Want to have a sneak preview of his worthness
Dunn: Maybe he was just bad at tumberwolves. Bad chemistry, not perfect teammates for his type of game . who knows. I want to know ;)
Valentine: He was a monster last season but irrelevant during the season. Will he be ready for next step? I have high hopes he will
Zipser: I'm not a fan of his game but I can see a Butler potential: come out of "nowhere" to shock the world.
Payne: I have no hopes for him. Never had
Ryan Arcidiacono : He could get a NBA job somewhere ... Will be interesting to watch he fight for it.

Zipser really shouldn't be going. Can't imagine there's been very many people to play 20 minutes per game in the playoffs the prior season and still play summer league in the offseason.

It's been said that he won't play much. Ditto for Payne. It's primarily going to be about showcasing/focusing on Dunn, Markkanen, and Valentine.

This is simply a lie. He had quite pedestrian numbers for a NBA guy down in the d-league, albeit in a five game sample. He played two games there the year before so your sample is seven games of mostly "bleh" numbers.

Since they've acquired Dunn, I see little value in Payne going forward. Especially with Grant here as well and him being actually better than Payne has been.

Very interested to see dunn, and see if his bad rookie year was due to thibs wanting to bring him along slowly, or his game not translating well on the nba level.

Def interested to see Markkanen, and if he is worth the 7th pick to make me feel better on the fact we gave up our 16th even though we were trading our star, smh has that ever been done? Nvm

Interested in seeing valentine year 2.

I'm about all given up on payne.

And I think zipser will be better.

It will be nice experiment to see how good fit Markkanen would be with Bamba for example who is even longer than him or Ayton who is comparable size. And is it possible play two 7 footers in today's NBA.

People are small balling as hell today. If it works it would be counter on the league. It would be one those "light years ahead" moves. But it needs to work first.

I like the idea of 2 agile 7footer being able to play small ball. I alluded to that a couple of weeks ago, and I used the Milwaukee Bucks as an example. That combo of Thom Maker and Greek the Freak is going to be something else and also the way to go moving forward. They are both fast and extremely athletic. I can definitely see us going in that direction since Markhannen is so agile for a big man.

Payne has already dominated Summer League, so he should not even be there again going on his third year.

That trade was bad from the start, though it's obvious that management believes McDermott's value is nearing rock bottom and Payne is a victim of minimal playing time and injuries. So, they gave up a 2nd.

I've never been high on Payne, and as bad as McDermott has been, he would have fit this year's roster much better.

Watching Dunn you see the talent. Good athlete, good passer, and has the potential to be a very good defender.

His offensive game at his age is what's worrisome. Let's hope he has a rabid work ethic to improve.
