4) Very efficient percentages for a 24yo SG (57% TS%) - 19, 4, 3 per 36 minutes
5) He's a very good 2pt shooter. So, if he continues to improve his 3-ball (which isn't crazy given he has a good natural shooting touch), he'll be around the 60% TS% range which is elite for a SG.
6) He seems to be a very hard worker that wants to get better

I give him a 40% chance of fulfilling this contract and 15% chance of exceeding it. It's not awful but it's not a bargain either. He really needs to work on his defense, playmaking, rebounds and assists. The points will be there...especially with increased minutes.

can someone give me some advanced stats on his defense? i remember him being pretty terrible on that end when he was a knick. If he scores 15ppg on good efficiency and plays atleast average defense then he will be worth his contract. I figure if the cap keeps going up then that 18 million per year wont look as bad.

Unless they find a taker for Bazemore in 48 hours, I doubt it.
If they match it then they must really think highly of Timmy & that shows that maybe people here are underselling his value.

1 1/2 years ago Hardaway was in the D-League after riding the bench for the Hawks.

Now he's getting paid $18 million a year by the Knicks.

Why 71 million tho? both of those dudes are not worth more than 10 million. Am I missing something with Tim hardaway jr here? Didn't atlanta regressed last season? Timmy is still trash defensively and has a low bball iq. And most importantly, why 4 years 70 fuqen million dollars?? WTF is mills doing?

Atlanta fans were talking about him getting 20 mill per year in March. They knew he was going to get paid. Don't listen to the 45 million garbage. Patty Mills signed for 15mill per year and everyone said it was a discount/great value deal for SA. THJr is still only 24 and looked really good this year.

Coming off the season he had he's worth more than 10. 71 is crazy though.

Hardaway got a lot better with hawks. I think he's proof knicks suck developing players. He's coming back a better player if hawks don't match. I kinda expect them to though. Who else they got at this point?

I don't know what you guys see in him. I just remember him chucking away and brickin against us last season. He's a guy that needs the ball in his hands to be somewhat effective and everything else he stinks at. 71 million 4 years jezuz. I really hope you all are right

12.5 mill a year for Patty Mills. That's a steal. And Mills has done more than Hardaway.

THJ did look better this year...at times. That's the best thing I can say about him. We didn't particularly need him, and I don't see him as a starter level player. I hope we move Lee and Melo with these moves. We can still tank with this guy

amazing that now a days in the NBA a 10, 15mil or in this case 17mil is considered a decent deal for players who haven't proven anything in the league......that what happens when Steph Curry signs a 5yr 201 mil deal... this deal is small potatoes compared to the elite players... must be nice to be an NBA player these days, guys who played years and years ago must be kicking themselves looking at the salaries of todays players.

I know we want to build for the future but let's not act like ya wouldn't be ecstatic to see the knicks in the playoffs in any capacity. I know I would

In any capacity?

Nah, I'm good. I'd rather be in the playoffs and matter.

I doubt atl is planning on signing any big free agents in the next few years and thj is a young, improving player. Its not crazy to think they'll match
