Dorial Green-Beckham was released...

I'm still a fan, give him a try out!

Really liked him coming out. Felt like I had a really good handle on what he could become right away and into the future, and the knocks on him (not a great lateral mover, picking up advanced schemes, some correctable hand problems) were all things I'd like to take on with his kind of package if I'm thinking it through the eyes of a coach, which as some may be able to tell by now that I often try to do.

Gabe, Larry Warford, and Laken Tomlinson were three guys in somewhat similar molds, the latter two for the Lions go figure, that I felt very good about for different reasons and was disappointed to see go elsewhere.

Saw that. That's a surprise. Got to be something off the field, I'd think, though it could be in the "not staying in shape" ballpark. They aren't exactly flush with receivers, so it seems like this says something. I wouldn't object to bringing him in, since he brings something our receiving corps totally lacks, but I wouldn't have very high hopes.

Jeremy Fowler (Facebook post):

Here are a few details about Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Artie Burns' arrest in South Florida, according to the police report and a Miami-Dade Corrections clerk.
*Police pulled over a black 2016 Cadillac Escalade after observing an expired tag.
*Burns, the driver, was unable to provide a driver's license
*Police conducted a records search that showed Burns' license had three 'active non-judgment suspensions' starting April 13, 2017. Burns should have known about the suspensions, according to the report.
*Police handcuffed Burns behind his back and arrested him 'without incident.'
*He was released from custody on Friday.
*The Steelers don't have a comment.
This seems like an issue Burns can resolve, starting with paying outstanding tickets, which totals around $1,000, according to WINZ Miami.

Having to own up to a lot of things today it feels like. Another guy I was mildly intrigued by coming into the NFL but the possibility of this happening was a consideration and played a part in why I didn't like him more as he also failed a drug test while at Georgia Tech, too.

This is a perfect year for projects and hail-mary-style risks because it's a throw-away season IMO. Try it out. The Niners suck anyway.

Brian Hoyer? :noway:

Might as well try to pull Jay Cutler away from his broadcasting career, too. Why not? ***k it.

That is why they brought Hoyer in. Because it is a throwaway year. Hoyer knows Shanahan's offense and will help transition until a better QB is found either through the draft or free agency. Cutler is toxic and they probably don't want him on near team. No one seems to want him.

The first sentence of this story is either untrue or it's being exaggerated IMO. Washington is a black man, so as a result had he done that for real he would've been executed on site.

Adolphus Washington - DL - Bills

Bills DT Adolphus Washington was arrested Sunday on weapons charges.

Without warning, Washington allegedly reached for and displayed a gun to police while officers were clearing out a water park in Cincinnati. As an Ohio State senior in 2015, Washington was arrested for soliciting a prostitute. Washington started 11-of-15 games as a rookie last season, recording 2.5 sacks. Pending court resolution, he is now at risk of league discipline.

Brett Veach - C - Chiefs

Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star expects Brett Veach to land the Chiefs' GM job.

An ex-Eagles executive who drew interest from the Bills after they fired Doug Whaley, Veach was considered one of the top scouts in Philly's front office before climbing the ladder and eventually following Andy Reid to Kansas City. Veach currently holds the title of Chiefs co-director of player personnel.

Brett Veach - C - Chiefs

Chiefs promoted co-director of player personnel Brett Veach to GM.

The move should give Kansas City stability atop the organization after John Dorsey's shocking firing. Veach has an extensive college scouting background and spent the last two seasons as the Chiefs' co-director of player personnel, working closely with Dorsey and Andy Reid. Veach followed Reid from Philadelphia to Kansas City. He was credited with playing a prominent role in drafting both DeSean Jackson and Fletcher Cox with the Eagles.
