Is it too much to ask for the Bucks to just stand pat and wait till next year when we will have some cap space to sign decent players at positions of need to decent contracts? I really hope they don't get trigger happy and take on Anderson for Hawes/Tele that's just another dumb short sighted win 2 more games now move.

Can we just for once be the team that has options...

Why anyone would want to take on his contract is beyond me

Nets

Bucks could as a part of the 4-way.

Out Monroe / Hawes.

In Anderson + 2 1sts. -- depends what 1sts i guess. If any have a chance at the lottery, then sign me up.. if not.. pass and wait until the deadline when the unloading for the cap space frenzy goes full tilt this winter... because it’s going to. LeBron was at the Lakers summer league game tonight. Foreshadowing. They have the cap space and the assets to bring in whatever players he wants to join him. (Paul, George, LeBron - all FA), Anthony in trade, a 5 in S&T (D. Jordan?).. Lakers could have a completely different team next season.

 and lol at having Delly, Mirza, Henson, Snell and Anderson in the books for 60m for 2 1st round picks (even in lottery).

This move completely both shuts down our cap and puts us in the luxury tax for the next 3 years.
The point for Anderson to come is, if we move Mirza and Henson for him.
No hay banda.

Hell No

Any trade that brings us Anderson has to have Henson going out

And now he'll likely become the next great San Antonio rotation player. I wish our organization was run correctly.

Frustrating to see Ersan on a 1 yr 6 while we gave out Mirza 3/30. Had a better cheaper version in our hands already, gave him away for nothing and then signed a worse more expensive one instead. Just classic Bucks.

Also a bit frustrated for Ersan that he's not a little more appreciated out there that a contender wouldn't want him as a bench guy and/or that he can't get a better deal than that while so many worse players are getting more. Would gladly take him back next year.

Ersan's never come close to the combination of high volume at high percentages that Mirza has.

That's the kind of thinking that got us Chris Copeland and Steve Novak.

However Ersan can play basketball.

Telly get ball. Telly shoot. Telly then think about what restaurant to eat at the next day until Bucks get ball back on offense.

Is it possible Telly turns it around next season?

Often role players who get a big deal end up spending the summer making sure they don't get hurt and then appear to chillax for the following season enjoying their newfound riches.

But sometimes a player who joins a new team just needs time to acclimate.

If Telly weren't a sunk cost that would help us if only insofar as finding a taker for him.

Why do you say that? Even though they lost Hayward, I think they have had a really good offseason.

-Avoided a disaster Hill contract, and got Rubio for cheap.
-Traded up for Mitchell
-Jerebko for 2 years 8 mil is a steal, Thabo for 2 for 10 mil is solid, Udoh for 3 mil is a good buy low
- Inglis they overpaid tho

Ersan is definitely a better basketball player than Telly, but the honest truth is that neither Telly nor Ersan should have gotten those contracts from Milwaukee. It's a symptom of small-market mentality: We can't sign the great players, so we focus instead on luring mediocre free agents with big contracts in the hope they become great contributors, instead of investing in top-notch scouting and development so we can find diamonds in the rough and develop them into great players much more cheaply.

Our current approach is infinitely easier, but much lazier and prone to failure, as it has been time and time and time again.

It doesn't help that Jason Kidd has no **** clue as to how to maximize Telly's skill set as a microwave scorer and floor-spacer off the bench. He needs to be paired in lineups with Giannis much more than he was last year. Just look at how he was used in PHX the year prior.

That's why all of our specific player/scheme conversation and debate on here is ultimately part of that "Nihilist Bucks" guy on twitter.

You can't have a front office acquire a specific guy when the coach doesn't utilize him. 18 chefs in the kitchen. No cohesive team philosophy and vision.

Compare that with Morey down in Houston who brings in D'Antoni and immediately understands he's got to get the proper potato chip batter to make Pringles. Heck Morey was able to figure out the league changed and the failed Dwight experiment meant a change in team vision to stay with the league trends. He started doing all these things while we were signing our third dinosaur center to a huge contract.

Not the high volume, but the high percent is there. Ersan is consistently above 40%. If I remember right he's finished top 3 in the league a couple times. Of course not at the volume so he's taking easier shots and all. But then you add in that he's a good rebounder and defender and it's not even close. Ersan is a a way better player and would still spread the floor due to the 3pt shot, which is why we needed Mirza so bad.
