My Steve Nash/Jason Kidd playoff highlights collection (22 total games)

Post#1 » by Purch » Fri Jul 14, 2017 7:23 pm

After 5 years I finally completed this project by adding 8 games, I wasn't able to find 5 years ago when I did the bulk of the project.
Important note about this whole collection:
1) The games had to be great playoff performances.
2) The games had to result in a win (No great performances in losses)

I've never trusted someone with the ball in their hands more than Steve Nash on the Suns. His combination of passing, shooting and decision making was unparalleled.

Your videos are great, have used them as I compile season-by-season highlights for the league. If you have anything else (Nash with the Mavs in the early 2000s i.e.) it would be great to see.

Yea seriously he was an absolute weapon. J Kidd too...drove me crazy having to watch the Celts trying to play against his NJ squad. A master at drawing charges lol

I think the future for Lonzo Ball is extremely bright

Thanks, glad you've found use for them. And no, sadly all my nba games pretty much don't exist considering I've went through like 4 laptops since then .

The Nash with the Mavs highlight as well as the Kidd Suns one, was something I put a lot of effort into getting.. I had to make sure that I had at least 1 game for each which showed how talented they were even before becoming a net/sun.

He definitely has that transcendent passing ability.

Can't wait to see what he can do in this league. The last passer that really got compared to Nash/Kidd coming out the draft was Ricky Rubio, who although he was a really good player, never really became one of the top players in the league.

Great!

And you are still missing 2 of Nash's best playoff games:

48/5/5 shooting 20/28, against the Mavs in 2005
27/16/5, shooting 11/18 against the Mavs in 2006

His 2005 series against the Mavs was incredible: 30.3/12/6.5 TS% .639

Talk about making Cuban pay for not paying him.

Absolutely dominant performance.

I think I made this project really hard on myself back in the day, because every game had to fulfill three requirements.

A) Had to be a great performance

B) Had to be in the playoffs

C) Had to be a win

Definitly left out some great performances in losing efforts. But I'm definitely happy with how it turned out.

God I miss watching Nash play. Will always be my favorite player of all time. The guy was transcendent. I don't know if we'll ever see another player like him. Though Steph certainly gives me the same joy to watch.

He certainly was a joy to watch, especially operating out of the pick and roll.

Jason Kidd passing in transition and Nash passing out of the pick and roll were two of my favorite things to witness growing up.

Nice highlights! JKidd practically willed those NJ Nets teams to the finals. I still think he is severely underrated.

Here's one I found against the Rockets in 95.

A 38 point triple double in the regular season

Re: My Steve Nash/Jason Kidd playoff highlights collection now completed (8 new games)

I've updated the playlist, so now it goes in order of the dates the games happen.

For the Nash playlist it starts off with the (30/11/5) game vs Sacramento in 2003, and ends with the (33/10) game vs Spurs in 2010.

For the Kidd playlist it starts with the (22/16/10) game vs the Lakers in 2000, and ends with the (23/14/13) game vs the Cavs in 2007.

I think this will make it easier to follow, rather than the playlist skipping around years.

OP- Kudos on your hard work and thanks for posting these. I haven't watched them all but can tell they took a lot of time.

No, he finished these videos early so he could get started pronto on the Lonzo Ball summer league highlights videos to go along with these.
