Death of Reggie Lewis. As for games (1) game 7 loss in the 2010 finals; and (2) game 6 double overtime loss to the Bucks in 1974. Fortunately the Celtics went on to win game 7 and the championship on the road.

2011 Finals Game 6.
Every shot Jason Terry hit in that game was like getting stabbed.

Finley was out of bounds. We were at the game screaming at the ref since we could even see it from our cheap seats. Rockets would have won in 6 and that was the only playoff series we had tmac and yao going on all cylinders.
I felt a little better after it was named as one of the series that was investigated after the whole Donaghy debacle. It was nice to hear my dallas friends actually admit it was BS finally after i just sounded bitter to them ha.

I could change the game to 2011 WCF Game 4 and the second statement would still be true for me.

I always go back-and-forth on which series was more hurtful. The '77 Finals to Portland or '81 ECF to the Celtics. I cried in 77, but I was only 8 or 9. In '81, I was more aware and it made me sick. Crazy that the Magic Johnson "jumping Center game" in '80, is only the 3rd most hurtful loss of that era.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Andrea is exactly what the league wants today... the Raptors just drafted him a decade early. He's a perennial all-star in the NuBA.

the 96 Bulls soundly put the boots to us in the first 3 games of the finals before George Karl figured out Gary Payton should actually be defending Jordan specifically. It was hard to watch, although the two game Seattle then stole were magnificent, (those... game 4 & 5 you will never see on NBA Classics).
Watching Gary put on a Laker jersey also made my stomach turn, (deja vu when Nash did it), much worse then watching Kevin join the Warriors.

the Spurs preventing the 4peat in 2003. Everybody at my school knew I was a laker fan and...yeah. Long day lol.
One of the reasons why I can look back and respect that team now though.

Sore loser. Your team had their chances, but the Lakers took the title the hard way.

Agreed. Your team couldn't make their free throws. Gave it away.

When your franchise has been inept as the Raptors, you don't have many painful losses. Game 7 against the Nets in 2014 is up there. Lowry getting blocked by Peirce at the buzzer still hurts to think about. I don't think we had a semblance of hope against the Heat, it would have just felt great to beat that Nets "superteam" that nobody gave us a chance against.
This one hurt so much because I knew it was coming. And it was Vince.......
This one hurt almost as bad. Especially considering he said he was quitting dunking when he played for us.
As you can see, the Nets give me nightmares to this day.

I know it's not the NBA but this past years Superbowl. I don't need to explain how sickening it was to lose in that fashion. But none of my teams have ever won in their respective leauges. Which made the loss 10x worse.
