When I saw that error I was thinking about Gleyber. :( We could've used him so bad man.

We can't become sellers neither, imo. I think we should just stay were we're at.. maybe pick up a SP that won't cost a lot.

You know Mecca, we may not have a choice but to pick up a starter now. Our rotation is shot this year and next. We are two pitchers short and still lacking the bonafide ace. Adams is in the fold, but no one else is ready in AAA.

Adams is also on an innings limit man. And he's getting very close to it. To the point he won't be available in September.

Personally, I would throw Adams in the bullpen this year as he is a former reliever. Try to get Sanchez more adjusted to 1B as soon as this year, and make a move for a SP in the Sonny Gray mold.

Oh I'm writing this season off. I'm thinking next season

I agree. Do NOT mortgage the future. Don't care if the Yanks miss the playoffs this season. We are playing with house money.

Cutting dead weight, developing starting pitching. The Yanks are building a team to dominate for a decade. It takes time. No short cuts (see Knicks), you end up cheating yourself.

Severino looks good after 2 innings, once he settles
In he is locked in. He'll even this series. Count on it.

Hmm...I might agree with Cone. Cubs could have overused Chapman because he still doesn't look right since the injury. I dunno.

Severino still dealing 100mph. Keeping the Yanks in the game. Come on GUYS!!!

I said this the day we signed him. If I go back enough in this thread I'll find it. I'm really worried Maddon overused the crap out of him last year. I never seen Chapman log those pitch counts since he was a starter 7-8 years ago. I remember to this day him rubbing his elbow. Something isn't right.

I been really some news article saying the same thing lately. What is my opinion? If that is true, the blame is still 100% on the yankees and cashman. Yankees knew what they were getting. Everyone in baseball knew how much Chapman pitched. Ultimately, the yankees decided to still go after him.

Yankees win (maybe) 4-1 in 16th inning. Boston played the game under protest based on an 11th inning incident.

How about dem apples?!?! Yanks win a 16 inning marathon (almost 2 games long) 4-1. Is it wrong of me to feel a little snakebit about yesterday? This team CAN play with the big boys.

BOSTON — The Red Sox are playing their game against the Yankees under protest after a strange play in the 11th inning at Fenway Park.

The odd sequence Saturday started with Matt Holliday of the Yankees on first base with no outs. Jacoby Ellsbury hit a grounder to first baseman Mitch Moreland, who threw to second for a forceout.

But rather than running toward second and peeling off, Holliday retreated toward first and slid into the bag as shortstop Xander Bogaerts’ throw arrived. Moreland wasn’t able to reach the ball, which hit Ellsbury and bounced into foul territory.

Red Sox manager John Farrell argued in favor of an interference call. After a lengthy review, the umpires allowed Ellsbury to stay on first.

Have to see if the Red Sox win their protest first.

Great to see Holliday get back in the lineup and contribute in a big way...

The long extra inning games is what got us in this slump funk in the first place... Hopefully that doesn't tire the players out already.

But whatever, a win is a win. Hopefully they can turn it around now.

HR Derby has ruined Judge. Not hitting the same way. His swing has been affected. Not good.

At some point if the playoffs look doubtful maybe they should just shut down Chapman and get ready for next season.
