They have to have someone in case Harden, Paul or Gordon get injured.
Taylor and Brown are not ready.
This will also enable them to rest the top 3 guards more.
Remember how bad Tyler Ennis was?
He was unplayable if the game was competitive.

When he got consistent minutes, in particular with LAC last season, he was really good.

He'll be asked to make open 3's with Houston which he did really well with LAC last year. I think he took a leap in that regard, and him making open 3's is something i'd bet on continuing with Houston given the fact that they have both CP and Harden.

I think they'll give Isaiah Taylor a shot to be the point guard who only plays when Harden or Paul miss a game. He was awesome in SL and D'Antoni seemed to be really high on him, already claiming Taylor will likely stay on the active roster, instead of the d league

Getting all these great defensive players can help hide Anderson's terrible defense.

Could also mean that the need to replace Anderson isn't as great.

Rockets have more leverage now. Melo wants out. Knicks want to trade him. Rockets don't need him, but will take him if they don't give up much. They can just wait to he is bought out or until next season when he opts out.

39% on open and 41% on wide open. Mostly behind JJ, CP, and PP, way ahead of Jamal and Glenn Jr. I think he is a solid catch and shoot player let alone his elite and versatile D.

Running out of roster spots. At 14 and I'm sure they want Bobby Brown (I know he's bad) and Troy Williams back. Unless Troy takes a two way deal they need a spot.

The best min pg is probably barbosa anyways and he probably isn't that big of an improvement at this point
