Minnesota baby. Their Joe Smith Implosion and the Kahn era solidify them as the worst

GarPax are really gunning for this recognition considering the dumpster fire and toxic culture they've created, a fine job of running the Bulls into the ground.

Knicks & Kings. Dolan, Isiah, Phil have ruined the Knicks. The Maloofs & now Vivek have tormented Sacramento. Minnesota had to deal with Kahn. But, they're in very good shape at the moment.

I'd say it's a tie between the T-wolves and Kings with the Knicks right after them

This goes back 15 years, though, and they had a team make the WCF, had two other teams win 50+ games, and two other teams win 40+ games. Not a great record but not as bad as you might remember.

Unrelated note: a lot of the Wolves bad moves were draft busts, and I don't think it's interesting or useful to judge FOs based on weak drafting as long as they didn't reach for prospects. Guys like Corey Brewer, Wes Johnson, and Derrick Williams were busts but someone would've taken them right after them, more reasonable to chalk that up to draft unpredictability.

Bulls started off these 15 years with an utterly terrible roster, then made the playoffs 11 of the last 13 years, made it to at least the 2nd rd 5 of those times and made the ECF once. I think they suck as a FO now and they've made a lot of bad moves, but there's no way they're in the running for this.

The last fifteen years include 13 straight missed postseasons. If that isn't futility what is? That is the worse streak in the league.

I voted the Kings, followed by the Timberwolves then New Orleans.

Even the first 3 years with Billy King Brooklyn was in the playoffs.

Kahn was ridiculously bad, a snake oils salesman who somehow conned the Wolves into a GM job, but the Wolves seem to be in really competent hands now.

As for worst FO's of last 15 years (which is a pretty long time), I would say Knicks, Bulls and Kings. Yes, I'm leaving off the Nets since they've actually had a bit of sustained success off and on in the last 15 years. The other three.... yeesh.

Back to back finals as well. One quarter away from repeat championships but all of our bigs fouled out against the Spurs.

We're up there, when we don't have draft picks we tank. When we have draft picks we are just barely too good to crack the top 5. Only recently have the tides (somewhat) started turning. Phil was an awful GM, but at least he established the idea that this franchise should not trade first round picks.

Also how are the Pistons on this list? They were good/great for about a third of those 15 years.

yea that was the beginning of the 08 season when the beginning of the end trade of billups for Iverson happened

Wolves, kings, and knicks 3rd. Wolves/Kings are a cut above the knicks though just on their playoff droughts alone

I'm still mad at Gar/Pax for picking Tony Snell over Gobert

But yeah, they're not the worst. To have the arguably the biggest market and inarguably the best arena and still come up short yr after yr, I have to go with the Knicks
