RIP Bob Wolff, former Knicks announcer during Championship seasons

RIP Bob. For those who remember the Knicks championship years, Bob - along with Marv Albert and Cal Ramsey - were some of the great voices of the Knicks. Bob was elected to the Broadcasters' Hall of Fame.

He was a local boy who graduated from Woodmere Lawrence Academy on Long Island. He attended Duke Univ. on a baseball scholarship, but after breaking his ankle in a run down, turned to broadcasting. And he didn't have a bad career. He called Don Larsen's perfect game for the Yankees in 1956 World Series. He called the epic 1958 National Football League championship game between the Giants and the Colts and the Knicks’ two title runs in a record-setting eight decades. Funny how one door closes opening up another. He had an 80 year broadcast career. Seemed to be a very very nice and humble man. He was 96.
