Smh lol
Did you watch the evidence (in the form of videos) I posted?
I'm not saying the dude is trash. I am saying he is not my type of big. Not a natural rim protector. Doesn't have refined post skills. And doesn't have that fire & desire. Seems like he is content to shoot jumpers and has a meh mentality.
Now Bamba. Bamba has that nastiness I like as a big. Just not as offensively skilled. But he will be a defensive monster.
Man, ayton put da hammer on dat azz in the 1v 1 lol
we'll see how he is in college to get a better view on his mentality.
i disagree about his post moves tho, it's pretty good imo
Man, Ayton showed NOTHING in that 1v1 vid. He looked like a deer in headlights and completely out of his element. Right now he is a face-up 5 with a nice J and a cleanup guy inside who scores off dump passes, offensive rebound putbacks, and athleticism. No skills in the post at all.
He is still a dope NBA big man. Just not someone that wows me for what he COULD BE if he had a better motor, more intensity, better footwork, and dedicated himself to going to a big man camp to learn some post moves and good counters.
For instance, WHG has no where near his physical tools yet gets every ounce out of the physical gifts he has because he comes from a basketball family and they put an emphasis on being SKILLED. If Willy had Ayton's body and physical tools he would be a top 5 young big in the league.
With all that said, looking forward to seeing how Ayton develops across this college season.
