After much consideration, I think I want this to happen.

Windhorst mentioned on the latest Lowe post that he liked the Milwaukee trade idea created by Lowe (Midds, Brogdon, 1 or 2 unprotected firsts). Partially because maybe the Cavs look at how the Bucks have played the Warriors well the past couple of years. Maybe the Cavs actually view the addition of Brogdon and Middleton as giving them a better chance against the Warriors.

Lowe while intrigued by the deal said he doubts both teams would be interested.

What are the Spurs doing with Pau? Was another team really interested in signing him--particularly at that number?

I'd puke if it was Middleton/Brogdon and 2 1sts. That's horrendous.

I'd trade for him, but I'd have to keep Middleton. At which point it makes no sense unless there's a 3rd team.

That's my biggest thing with Kyrie. Where I don't believe he's this crazy MVP, superstar talent I think he helps you build a championship team far easier than with the current squad we have.

That might be the asking price though

What does that trade have to do with PPGz?

Jabari / Brogdon / Delly for Kyrie / Felder / Tavares

I think I'd be okay with this...

Kyrie/Felder
Snell/Vaughn
Middleton/Wilson
Giannis/Teletovic
Thon/Monroe

He might not be a "superstar" but he's got way more value than that ^^^^

Middleton has shown he is streaky and had major issues last season. The Bucks, while getting lucky with Giannis, haven't shown much ability to use 1st round picks as assets to begin with. Brogdon would hurt but if you have Kyrie negates that with significantly better play. You also keep Jabari, who actually wants to play in Milwaukee. You make Giannis happy. I'm all for it.

CLE: Middleton, Brogdon, Delly,Mirza

MKE: Kyrie, Shump, Frye

That's the deal I think makes most sense. I could also see CLE interested in getting a Snell in the deal too.

So did Rose just use the Bucks for leverage? Or did the owners/GM/Kidd wise up? He gets a paltry one year 2.1 deal.

This is exactly how I feel. Collect talent and work with it. Requires a competent GM, though.

This, this, and more this. Right now we are betting on Jabari's health to make us a contender. A kyrie trade that doesn't destroy us, arguably makes us a contender tomorrow.

So I'm daydreaming about Kyrie/Jabari/Giannis vs Rose/Love/LeBron in the ECF next year...

In a unique and wonderful world, we helped set the market for him, but I doubt it.

I agree that a 3rd team is necessary for any trade I could see us doing with the cavs for kyrie.

And if that's the asking price (Midds/brog + 2 unprotected (or even protected) 1sts), then I'm okay with not having kyrie.

I don't really think Kemba is available unless you way overpay, which is how I feel about most of our guys, and especially Middleton of non-Giannis players.

I think Conley would be good, and I could see Memphis liking brogdon + Jabari as a base. Conley makes 10 mil more per year than kyrie, and is older so I'm not sure on his trade value. They'd have to be unloading gasol, or planning to.
