Apparently we switched from circle/round to v-neck because of Nike's ridiculous new shoulder-cut which makes it so all teams have one silhouette. Let's hope that changes next year.

Basically - they tweaked the font, slimmed down the sash, we're stuck with Nike's awful v-neck.

Edit: Oh, and also added red instead of silver/grey around the numbers on the white jerseys.

Although I guess that doesn't make sense since I believe the Celtics are keeping their round collar.

I really hate the v-necks.

The V neck isn't a huge deal to me. As a UO alum and Portland native I LOVE the Nike Logo though.

I think the spiked sarif on the "P" looks totally dumb. Same with the slanted font. They should have just kept things simple and classic..."modernize" is just another way to say, "looks outdated" in a few years. Of course, the only real reason to do this is to sell more authentic jerseys...

Gave it about a 20% chance that we'd get something brand new and unique. I like what we went with, just a cleaner version of what we had. Old jerseys desperately needed updating.

I emailed Chris McGowan the other day since the Blazers got new uniforms, if there would be a new court design in case anyone would want to know. Here is my inquiry to Chris:

Just curious if there is going to be a new court design reveal soon.

Chris's response:

Just some minor tweaks to the court. Not a complete redesign.

To give you all a explanation on how this happens. 2K Sports gets any new uniforms templates in advance before it is released to the public so they can put it in their game. Someone unlocked the statement jerseys. Some alternates are the same because teams didn't get a new uniform style despite Nike taking over, but you'll notice some different ones.

Since the Blazers got new uniforms, that means their red alternate is new too.

Personally, I don't like this design. But what do you guys think?

I actually love the color combo, but the 5 lines are too much. It's just too wide. I wish it was the stripes from the last style
