If/when Melo is dealt, he'll get PT.
Plus, he helps fortify the bench.

Re: THE BEAS IS COMING TO NYC
Always been a fan of Beasley ever since he was in college. Disappointed with how his career turned out, but hes been a productive player offensively his last 2 yrs.
His TS% has been pretty solid. And we do need a true PF on this team. If he can be more consistent on the defensive end, id be more than happy to give him more minutes than Lance Thomas.

Not a fan at all, are we really replacing a ballhog with another ballhog?

Think it signals melo might be on the way out. I've always wanted to get Beasley but don't see how it makes sense now. Dude can score at will but wont help the tank.

Re: THE BEAS IS COMING TO NYC
Hed be a great bench stretch 4 for us. I just don't really wanna see him at SF. Ill tell you what the Knicks need at SF which we almost never have had. A point forward or essentially a 6'8 SG feigning SF.
Enough with SF whose only means of operating is to turn thier backs and post up cuz they can't take anyone off the dribble. Actually of they can't dribble like a guard and can shoot Im down too but not so much on the sense of D3 and in that case more a off ball shot creator like sayyyyyyy Gordon Haywood. But the first option wouldve been someone like Josh Jackson if we could've drafted him.
Knicks always sewm to go after SFs who could play PF, rather than SFs who could play SG. Very 90s in thier recruitment and obviously Melo is at the high end while Lance is at the low end but I prefer rather than our firwards to be interchangeable that our wings be interchangeable

This is a good deal for us. We will need someone to replace Melo, it's a one year deal and if Beasley performs well we should be able to find a playoff team for him at the trade deadline and package someone with him for a first round pick.
