Depends.

If Jeff starts him at PF and KP at C then I call a 4th seed. If Melo is a SF and KP is a PF we will not make the playoffs.

This. The clumsy defensive tandem of Melo/KP/Willy up front is easy lotto pick in today's NBA.

Unless Melo has found the fountain of youth, he is most effective as a 4 now.

Yep.

And now you have PG's that are looking to pass. Everyone can actually shoot so you can't play back off of people. It's a hard match up for other teams.

KP - can shoot
Melo - can shoot
Lee - can shoot
Timmy - can shoot
Frank - I've been told dude is wet

Noah and Rose are not fuqing up the spacing. You must guard your man or you are giving up a three. No more playing off. No no no.

We still need someone who can run the PnR to create a mismatch / collapse the defense. If we could do that, we'd be pretty potent offensively.

I think Frank AND Timmy can do that. Timmy especially. One of Timmy's greatest improvements was his ball handling. The only thing with Timmy though will be if he will pass out to the open man. I think Frank will, but Timmy is a scorer.

short answer no

long answer, no way

last year we had the same people plus Rose and Noah for a longer stretch

sure the easy got worse with Butler and George leaving but indy was terrible last year anyway and Chi wasn't so hot

the east sucks but not enough to offset how bad we are

with or without melo were not winning more than 35 games

The triangle is gone.
We rebalanced by removing a score first PG.

If Melo and KP are placed in advantages by moving up a position and carry the scoring load we are making the playoffs and it won't be a last minute make.

On offense KP and Melo as your bigs is a problem for the league. They can both shoot and are quick at those positions. On defense, Melo becomes average(he's a very good positional post defender) and KP does his thing and swats shots.

We added athletes that can get out and run allowing for Melo to trail for those transition 3's with KP flashing to the basket.

Tank nation will be dead if Jeff rolls out:

Melo
Lee
THJ
Frank

melo being melo will have everyone standing around, bored, and disinterested as usual. frank probly wont even start over ramon sessions. we should be good for a 5-9 lotto seed.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.
