These ain't Championship squads compared to today's NBA standards...but this is fantasy land BAT...where all 30 teams are playing for a 1yr run at it and trying to contend. Stars spread across the entire landscape, not teamed up with each other, taking less to have depth around them. Nobody is caving in at the deadline, deciding to tank and trading off its talent for younger players.

It's a completely different landscape...and it's ugly as **** when you boil it down to these final few.

I remember thinking last BAT was the worst playoffs in history, I hated having CP3/Dwight winning the ship...but it's a testament to how well everyone builds and it really bunches tiers closer together.

Not many people getting hoodwinked in trades anymore.

It's opposite.
You're all offense and that's none at all.

I've seen teams with superstars and some bums like AC Green, Luc Longley, Joel Anthony, etc, starting on them win a championship... but never seen a team with just solid starters and solid depth win a championship before.

James Johnson didn't average 12.8 PPG / .479% from the field / .34% from 3 on 3 per game / 3.6 APG / 5.1 WS?

Those are quality numbers from an offensive standpoint, especially when you factor in his handles.

LJ, br7, laimbeer, justaknicksfan all said I had a top team so it not like this a surprise.

Not to mention, in my OG Pimp Page, I detailed that all of Junacho's minutes will be with D12 at the 5.

Cp3 (a superstar) would be licking his lips at this matchup.

I beat a complete Heat squad, knocked LeBron out in Round 2 and took out Kawhi in the ECF...the hardest road to the Finals in a stacked East. But I don't have a chance against the superstar that is CP3?

What? He took out Bron and Kawhi, you think he's worried about CP3?

The East was straight up crazy too.

The "superstar" point was that the Lakers resemble a championship squad at least.

If you beat them on top of Kawhi/Bledsoe & Lebron, you have to know that's bullshyt right? Lol like 4real.

Next BAT I'm going to just draft LeBron at $286 since it's only about the superstar.

You're right about me beating Bledsoe/Kawhi...those are the only two my entire roster had to overcome. Let's overlook the fact that you had zero spacing in your backcourt, 3 starters that I can double off of who barely average double digit scoring for their careers and zero depth.

It's a team sport playa...give some credit where credit is due. I've made it this far without a "star", I've done something right.

Curious, where would your rate Bledsoe in terms of PG's? Top five? Top Ten? Middle of the pack...

There's more than just Lebron and Kawhi/Bledsoe... both had good support around them.

Zero spacing? Patterson shoots 38% from 3. RoLo shoots 46% from 16-23 feet. Kawhi shoots 39% from 3. Thabo and Bledsoe shot 34% from 3... they can hit an open one if you give it to them. That's just shooting... there's other aspects of spacing besides that. A conversation some of us had earlier this BAT.

Zero depth... TJ McConnell started in the NBA... he's good enough to be a backup, and the dude can play. Terry Rozier is a rotation player for the best team in the East and did well these past playoffs (also shot 37% from 3)... both gritty defenders too. DWest is a champion and a rotation player in GS. That's a legit 8 men... McDaniels isn't terrible for 10 mins per game... a good athlete and defender in that time.

But your obsession with depth always costs you a legitimate superstar which is what's needed to win a championship.

I gave you credit that you had a solid team... but I don't think anyone can look at it and honestly say "yup, that looks like a championship team."
