It doesn't matter how many players Poland has put into the NBA. What matters is that KP had a very good game but against a poor team so there's not that much to be excited about. It's not like he's a raw rookie. He's going into his third NBA season and this kind of performance should be expected of him now. Why are people flipping out over it? And again, 9 for 20 shooting isn't anything to write home about.

I don't know that people are flipping out over it. He looked good, showed a diverse game, made it possible for others to make easier shots, and changed the whole tenor of the game. He wasn't working that hard and it was nice to see that he's stronger in the post (yes, some of those guys were big and strong, even though they may not be that talented). It was also nice to see him in action after such a long time. That's really all. Of the 10 players on the court, he was the only one who looked elite (Smits, #11 on Latvia, looked like he maybe could have played a bench role in the NBA).

Okay already. KP was great yesterday and was a beast. His arms are now like tree trunks and he just crushes people. Better?

Just a friendly reminder. KP has already proven he's at least a borderline all star in the NBA. Whatever he does or doesn't do against teams like Poland doesn't change that. You're acting like this is the first time anyone is seeing him play and his skill set needs to be evaluated, and his ability to play in the NBA is in question.
All in all he's just another prick with no wall

Poland has 37 million, so while they're not huge, they certainly have a larger population to produce players. Latvia is smaller than freakin' Queens.

Polish team is trash. Latvia have much better tradition in basketball. Outside of late 90s, when there was some hype around polish league, we couldn't bring attention to this sport. So even though they are like 20 times smaller, they produce more players that can play at european level.

Four? First was Trybański, but I have absolutely no idea how he did it. Second was Lampe, but tbh he was raised in Sweden. And now there is Gortat. It's three. But it's not even as bad as in hockey where right now we have like 150 proffesional players

The list includes Jeff Nordgaard, who was born in the US but plays for Poland internationally. But 3 or 4 -- it's not a big difference.

I gonna need to see some highlights

Oh, it'll show up. He was insane from 3pt, something like 7/9 with one miss being end of shot clock from other side of the court, all of the makes nothing but net.

Do you feel teams will rank him higher or lower than Bagley, Mike Porter, Ayton, etc?

And in the case Melo is gone by training camp or the trade deadline what would you do to make sure we get him if you're in charge?

You seem to know a lot about him & highly rank him.

Wow, Spain's opponents are a big joke, even if you'd combine the best players' from every team.

Don't know anything about the other players. He's the only player with sample size large enough to properly evaluate him.

Just trade everyone you can that's not on rookie contract. Sign Jaramaz and put him in the starting lineup. Make the team bad.

Because they're playing at the same venue as yesterday, must be a friendly tournament or something.

He's a proud Slovenian.

This.

And as a bonus, we won't have Dolan as an owner, either.

This is CRAZY! from Wikipedia:
Anthony Erwin Randolph, Jr. (born July 15, 1989) is an American-born Slovenian professional basketball player for Real Madrid of the Liga ACB. Born in Germany to two parents who served in the military there, Randolph's family eventually relocated to the United States, where he grew up in Pasadena, California.

Wikipedia says he was American-born and born in Germany.
WTF?

Did anybody see where they're playing? There are fewer seats available for fans than in a typical high school.
