We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Still young af though. Not worried in the slightest.

Dwight can't hit a FT, much less hit a 3.

what the hell does that even mean? he's going to be a hall of famer?

ChaosHamster wrote:Holy, KG is a king of overreactions.. jeez
And how is Dwight's trajectory even bad?
Next year, KP and Frank still develop while Team tanks and get Doncic.
Then comes three straight DPOY season from KP with more experienced Frank and Doncic leading the offense.
Good luck teams scoring more than 70.

You think Dwight is a HOFer?

doesn't matter what i think. his resume is HOF worthy and he will get in.

CharlesOakley wrote:The problem with Dwight was poor attitude, poor work ethic and want to be "the man". While KP might want to be "the man", I don't think he has demonstrated a poor attitude and definitely not a poor work ethic. I'm not sure what similarities you see between the two but Dwight has quit on multiple teams and coaches.

Maybe. HOF is a promotional vehicle, but Dwight has been a mediocre 1-dimensional center for a number of years. It would be like putting Doc Gooden in the HOF.
It'd be silly but yes silly things happen.
Suffice to say that if KP turns out to be more or less at Dwight's level -- a few very good years and then falls off tremendously (despite being a different type of player, with better O) -- then he won't have the kind of career many of us here hope for.
I don't know what's so controversial about the idea that a player's personality indicates the type of player he'll be. Or that they're linked in some way.
It's fair to say -- You don't know what kind of person KP is from his posts. Fair. I am a little concerned, but I don't think I have enough info.
On the other hand, if the argument is -- you can be a clown and still be great, well then I disagree strongly. Kawhi, Tony Parker, Dirk ... their seriousness is related to how great they became. I don't even love Antet's game but he seems totally focused and determined.
I'm old-fashioned. Do your job. It's hard enough to do the job of being a great player. Getting distracted and worrying about your likes or your Twitter feed ... it's a bad sign, yeah that's what I think.
LeBron is a bit of a clown but really loves the game and has talent that is completely off the charts. Shaq too. These are guys who had unbelievable gifts, and both took their craft pretty seriously as well.
I don't think KP has that level of unusual talent. He'll have to work for it. And so a lot of the weirdness coming from him, that yes includes getting Phil pushed out, to me is a little worrisome. We'll see.
Become a great player first, then celebrate it some fine. But I'm looking for the makeup of a totally focused and determined player. I don't have enough info to say it's not there, but I have a different view of him than I did after his rookie year.
You can wave it away all you like but humility, focus, determination, they tend to run together. Let's see him get out there and back it all up. Then I'm good.
