Pitchers are showing frustration and anger on the mound when the defense fuks up. Collins called is a "de minimus" defense. LOL

would not be shocked if alonso is in las vegas to start the year, double a isn't challenging him although it's a small sample size (11 for 33)

still though in 90 games he has a .290 batting average, 26 doubles, and 18 homeruns. he's clearly a top 5 prospect for the mets and their best bat in the minors. but he has 18 errors as a 1b, so hopefully the national league adopts the dh.

Yes, I believe MLB will do that for Alonso and the Mets.

Smith is our 1B for the foreseeable future. If Alonso is a corner OFer and it sounds like he is, then perhaps he a trade chip for us. Because if he can't play CF, then he's useless to us.

Montero might have arrived. He was exceptional in Vegas during his last stint there and has continued it after his callup. The light has come on.

He has all the tools to be dominant, but mentally he looks like he doesn't know how to pitch at all. He's just like Pineda in that regard, all the tools but the inconsistencies to drive you mad.

alonso isn't some guy that came out of no where, he was the 2nd rounder of last years draft who has plus bat speed and 60/60 power.

including last years numbers he has 23 homers, 38 doubles, and a .298 batting average in only 120 games.

smith isn't a lock for anything, and do you really want to put alonso in the outfield? he's 6'3" and 250.

No, definitely no OF ... though there's Judge and Stanton who are pretty good RFs. That aside, does this guy have a good glove at 1B?

Mets are in Houston this weekend. The 3 game series will be played but Friday night's game has been moved to Saturday as part of a double header. The teams will play Sunday afternoon. The Mets players will use Friday to help with relief efforts.

it seems like he needs a lot of seasoning with the glove, he has 18 errors as a 1b.

but the power is real

We already have a "de minimus" defense. Smith has hit everywhere at every level pretty much. I'm not saying there won't be bumps in the road, but it's better than having Dave Kingman at 1B.

That said, he does have a great swing.

Rhame (Dodgers) and Callahan (Red Sox) got call ups. Smith should be up later in the month.

Harvey pitched to contact again today, just like he did when we watched him pitch for the Cyclones.
