You jinxed it!!! They could have had 6, but you had to settle for five!

That was a terrible inning from Strop. The bullpen has become an issue which I didn't expect the way they started the season.

Cubs seem to be rolling. Addy should be good in another week. If they have to patchwork SS for a day to give Baez a day off it's not a big deal. Throw Happ, La Stella or Zobrist there and while they won't have the same range it will be fine for a day.

They need to take two out of the next three, at least, from the Braves then crush the Pirates and Brewers. That should put them well in control of the division. They should be able to maintain enough of a division led to set their rotation the last week of the season for the playoffs.

He has started playing at AAA. It shouldn't be that long. Even if it is that is still back with time to knock any rust off before the playoffs. I'd actually rather them hold him back an extra week just to get him more rested for the playoffs than take any chance of bringing him back too soon.

Joking of course, but anyone who references Stevie Wonder is awesome in my book.

wooo boy, good ol-fashioned shootout to make you a little more uncomfortable than you'd like to be after scoring 14 runs

good to get out with the win

Baez has been on fire. Some of the other bats heating up too. Also nice to see that Heyward has bounced back after a little dip..never going to be worth the contract offensively but after a good start he seemed to tail off and come back from it.
