I was impressed by Theis today. 22pts 7rbs and 2/2 from 3.

That was the first time I've seen Theis play (not the whole game, but a lot of it). It was a good introduction. He's bouncy and long, and moves his feet, though he looks fairly light and won't really be a center. Just as advertised, he digs for opportunities and can hit the open 3. He's Jerebkoish.

He seems to play well when his teammates are making helpful plays. That bodes well on the Celtics where he'll benefit from talent around him.

Well good.

These highlights are almost as good as Zizic's. Seriously though, he looks like he could fill the Jo as Jerebko role and bring veteran toughness off the bench and make winning plays when team needs energy and a lift.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Valnciunas, who killed the Celtics last year was going to be slowed down by Ante Zizic, but that won't happen now because, due to fate Zizic is now a Cav, goes for 27 points and 15 boards.

Theis an hopefully slot in for back-up big shifts, an play at least a Jonas/Zeller type role initially. But can't see him as serious minutes guy for awhile, if ever.

You are probably right, but I hold out a bit more hope for Theis. The NBA game is changing and if he brings a credible 3-point shot in combination with active interior defense, garbage hoops, and rebounding, he becomes a complementary starting 4 next to ball users like Hayward and Irving right out of central casting.

I can't argue with that. Eager to see this guy in green.

Yea, I don't know how we're gonna be able to tell them apart.
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

At least they traded Zizic that would have been a nightmare trying to figure that out.

Nothing like throwing a wet blanket on so many hopes....

Lets hope this performance was an exception rather than the rule....

BTW.....didn't the Patriots lay an egg the other night too?

Sh-t happens....
