The disrespect to a legend is horrendous. Look most of us don't like Melo for being a bitch, I get it but to step on his basketball ability is pathetic.

Melo has major flaws on the defensive end, only has average efficiency, and isnt as good as attacking and finishing at the rim like he used too. But theres now way there is 63 players better than Melo.

Put Melo as a 3rd option and he'll look much better.

Put Danny Green or Covington as the #1 option on the team and I bet their efficiency drastically dips. Bet they wont even be able to average 20 PPG.

And their defense would suffer... Not that Melo should have excuses for how bad he was on that end last year, but team and player situation effect how players perform drastically in the NBA (which also explains why Melo was poor at defense because he was stuck playing the 3 because of Noah/glut of big men we have) .

We saw last year Durant became a much more useful defender with the Warriors because his offensive responsibility was much less than it was with the Thunder. Same deal here. If Melo gets dealt to Houston. I think he'll be slightly more efficient, but I think the real difference will be defensively at the 4 he will be much improved due to the different circumstances that come with being on that team as opposed to the Knicks.

That and they have a defensive scheme.
The whole team looked worse on defense this past season than any other season. Facts.

Even I think 64 is a reach. I think 30-45 is accurate.

Responding to it on social media is a stupid move by him IMO. Shut them up with your play on the court.
