I scored it 7-5 Canelo.

It seems like at least 90% of the boxing decisions I have ever paid attention to have been extremely controversial. I saw a lot of fans predicting Alvarez would get a crazy score in his favor before the fight even happened. Everyone freaks out about it after the fight, but nothing changes.

Shame on Byrd but shame on HBO for seamlessly jumping into promo for the re-match. So unpalatable. People just shelled-out $70 and spent their Saturday nights on this fight, Jim and RJJ are already giving well-honed narrative and talking points for "II".

Especially given that there was clear corruption in this one, HBO's eagerness to profit off of the draw only implicates them in the mess. I don't believe they had anything to do with it but their lack of sympathy for fans by immediately asking us to 'tune-in next year for the exciting conclusion' makes them ***holes.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

When the fight ended, I immediately knew that one or two of the judges would f*ck everything up. It's sad that something like this has become so predictable in the sport. In less than a year, we've had 3 high profile fights that ended in controversy due to incompetent/corrupt judging. Ward/Kov 1, Horn/Pac and now GGG/Canelo.

I had it 6-6, but I might have flubbed the 6th round. Anyhow, I had it either a draw or GGG winning by a round. It was a close fight IMO. But I like to see a fighter take charge of the fight especially if he's the challenger.

Did anybody else feel this was the first fight for both fighters where they felt there was a real possibility the other guy can knock him out?
I think that made both of them fight at a lower pace even though this was by far a true duel. The two of them went the whole fight separated by no more than two feet from each other, eyeing the other the whole way. Just a little more willingness to gamble to try and win it outright and this would have been exactly what it had been advertised to be. Hopefully the rematch gets that little bit extra.
