Maybe we're keeping him away right now for Ben Simmons's sake.

Didn't that happen on the Friday of training camp? Well we made it at least one day further than last year.

Agree. But I think Amir makes up for it

So he's a shorter, worse passing version of Ben Simmons?

Anyone about to watch the preseason game on NBATV?

Ready for this season to start even if it isn’t with the Sixers. Looking forward to Ball tonight.

Excited to see Butler, Teague, and Towns together, too.

Ball doesnt seem like a guy who like or can force things, he’s more in the flow guy.

He still needs weight, but I see an allstar talent.

He needs the transition game to get going. Like Simmons, he likes to play fast.

Randle is such an oaf to me. The bullrush into the lane seems to be his only avenue.

No one can breakdown the defense. Allows Wolves to play physical and close on D. Lakers only chance to get space is to play fast. Ingram is good but he’s not good enough to carry a team’s offense

The Wolves will be pretty good with KAT and Butler. Ingram reminds me of a young Rashard Lewis.

He needs the transition game to get going. Like Simmons, he likes to play fast.

Except that Lonzo's transition game relies on outlet passes, so when teams actually rush back on transition D and cutoff those outlet passes like the Wolves have tonight, then his transition game becomes irrelevant.
Which then exposes his half court offence as he can't break down his man for drive and kicks or run pick and rolls (ran only 29 PnR's for whole college season, was the worst of all drafted PG's).

Simmons transition game isn't even comparable. He doesn't need to rely on outlet passes because he's a 1 man freight train on transition. Doesn't matter how quickly the opposition gets back on D, unless they have someone that can actually stop a 6'10 freight train that ran the 5th quickest recorded 3/4 time in the NBA (same time as pre injury D.Rose) with absolutely elite ball handling, then you ain't stopping his fast break transition.

And if they do somehow slow him down, he can actually break down his defender in half court offence(too fast for bigs, too big for guards) to score, or drive and kick. Or he can just defer to Fultz in the half court offence to run PnR's with Embiid which he is/was elite at (unlike Lonzo).

Ben Simmons is a legit threat in the paint that he can collapse the D. Zo is a average threat everywhere that most teams is comfortable not sending extra help.

If I’m against the Lakers, I’ll just switch every screens and don’t pre-rotate. They’re very “trust the process” team, where Zo is comparable to Ish and TJ that likes to breakdown D but he doesn’t have the tools to hurt you much if you just defend it on single coverage. They’ll also push the pace to get good looks. But they don’t have anyone who can exert their will on offense.

Maybe I’m wrong but thats how it looks like so far.

Kyle Kuzma is the steal of the draft.
